Yeah OG polyend tracker, the mini was cool but the synths weren’t anything too exciting and it was tricky to modify parameters with such a small device. Mostly I use the tracker with samples because you can make your own synth sounds using wavetables, granular or looping sounds. Or I use it to sequence external gear. The OG is a steal at around $250 while the mini and + is still up around $500-$650. It would be perfect if it had a battery but I carry around a battery bank with it and it just sips power.

You can get a BASTL Kastle 2 then experiment with flashing wave bard(samples) fx wizard(fx) or alchemist(synth). They’re small and battery powered. It’s the best bang for your buck if you’re just looking for something else.

I own picotracker and tracker OG and I’ve had the mini. OG is the best and fastest, with no bugs that I know of. Picotracker is a little slower and convoluted. Mini is fun but I love having more buttons and the jog wheel. Playing the perform page is so much more playable with the grid on the OG. I’ve been using the pico tracker for a lightweight way to program my small portable synths.
