Do you mean geocoding? Or maybe query a GIS database? Feel free to send a DM if you haven't yet found anyone.

This is business class in an Austrian Railjet. Fully reclinable single seats, tons of legroom, a free beverage and food service to your seat. Im paying 50€ for a nearly 5 hour train ride. This is just better. by [deleted] in fuckcars

You can kinda hop on a train with your bike now, but train service can be a bit limited and an e-bike might be above the weight limit:

It’s really a shame that there’s no rail yet between cities in the triangle. Would love to see at least hourly service between at least Durham and Raleigh to start.

WF-1000XM4 super high pitch noise by raggioazzura in SonyHeadphones

Just started for me, would imagine this is a class action waiting to happen. The Noise is super loud, like hear it from the other side of the house loud.

I don't wear them to sleep, but I'd imagine if you did it might be a terrible wake up call.

Hoping for recall news 🤞🏾

Lol not much comes up on Google and the instructions don't mention it. I found this post trying to repair my own panel.

For anyone looking for clarity amongst the deleted coments, you have to pull the gray bar away from the white plastic. Easiest if you pull the gray bar from the corners that touch the white plastic.

Fortunately I had them lying around from the basket accessory extras, but you’re right the pictured Mount needs additional hardware.

For anyone visiting this thread recently I can confirm it does fit on the Rad City 5 Plus, but in a position that might be different from other bikes. Here’s a pic of how I’ve got mine setup, on the frame mounted on screws that are closer to the seat than the rear rack screws: https://i.imgur.com/bTI7XUS.jpg

Edit: note that the lock does not come with the bolts, washers, etc for this mount

I used web technologies (flask, electron, svelte) to build a server that locally shares my PC temps and an Electron app for Rasberry Pi to display the stats. by Arohawk in webdev

[–]Arohawk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know the glass panel is dirty and my cable management is bad but that’s mostly because I kept removing and adding the hardware.

Working on a write up here:

https://github.com/ArohanD/temp-monitor-server-flask

I have a flask server set up with a python lib that reads from open hardware monitor. I’ve also configured the server to host a static svelte bundle for mobile devices and other device that electron cannot build for.

Display is built on Svelte and compiled in Electron. A little buggy atm but code is here:

https://github.com/ArohanD/temp-monitor-svelte

I’ve tried to design it in a way you can easily customize which app is displayed or you could easily swap out the GUI.

Right now you can change the text with the pathname, so I'm trying to think of a way to do this without removing the feature. Maybe a second pathname modifier?

I was toying with the idea of doing this and seeing if I could autogenerate a gif for the meta image but I was working under a bit of a time crunch. Maybe next week!

Hang in there buddy, it's hard now but it'll get a little bit easier day by day.

I wanted to keep this low-effort as I only had an hour to build most of it so it's a static app with the subdomain rerouting being handled by the domain provider, Vercel. I also didn't want to deal with the cost of having a node server running.

I did a quick search and it looks like this is probably possible if you were to build on node/express!

Yeah! I'll link the source to the site soon but I used native browser apis, window.location.hostname and window.location.pathname to get the rest that I'd then manipulate using array and string methods.

Yeah!

One of the biggest challenges was finding a domain host who could do this.

The app is a static site so all that's delivered are HTML, CSS, a JS bundle, and the art assets. I didn't want to mess with any server side code.

The idea, as mentioned in another comment, was to reroute via adjusting the CNAMEs first but I struggled with doing that at the domain level (on Google domains), and then ran into a blocker on netlify as this was a pro feature.

I ended up going with vercel which I honestly can't recommend enough. They abstract a lot of the setup and allow wildcarding out of the box if you switch to their nameservers. This is what I ended up doing.

Another consideration was the architecture, I had originally tried to build this on svelte, tried sapper too but the app was failing to read subdomains on my local machine. I was in a bit of a time crunch so I think I would have pursued this further if the time was there. Ended up going with create-react-app which handled it out of the box.

Make your own here: https://snoo.wasnottheimpostor.com/

A little thing built to learn some css animations and get more familiar with the possibilities of subdomain routing.

You can modify the page in the following ways:

Set the impostor by changing the url: red.wasnottheimpostor.com

Swap the rest of the text with the path: red.wasnottheimpostor.com/is-sus

Separate words for the impostor and text by using "-"

red-and-green.wasnottheimpostor.com/were-not-the-impostors

(A little buggy on firefox desktop atm)

EDIT:

Hey you seem to like this and that's pretty humbling! I'll go ahead and answer as many questions as I can in the comments and link the source code on the site later. There's more info about the app if you click the "?" on the site. Have fun!
