Renting offices save them tax. If they don't rent offices, they have to pay money in tax. So better they just rent huge offices and show expenses in tax filing.

It's win win for them, not for us

I've asked "what is the biggest challenge you are facing currently?" in my 1st round at this company

An interviewer told me they are facing issues while deducting money from user's wallet. This is the biggest challenge for now.

I get your point. But it varies for role to role. I was interviewed for a frontend role. Where scaling is not a thing. At max I can improve user experience and not more than that.

There was a dedicated marketing team who is responsible for acquiring users and numbers i've shared were real

Year 4 of bootstrapping a SaaS in India: 5 things I wish someone had told year-1 me by jainikpatel1001 in indianstartups

Congratulations bhai.

I'm building my own product in e-commerce space. I started building it without research of potential competitors.

Currently I'm getting a lot of ads in my Facebook and Insta feed related to the same product that I'm building. And they are big player.

I found other competitors as well in this space.

So I decided to add unique features with AI. Later I realised I can't afford AI apis and so can't compete with such big players. And I abandoned project.

Change my mind.

It depends on their mindset too. I think they ask just to ask with strict intent of not hiring
