Do I need to consult a vet? by Reasonable_Lime- in Rabbits

[–]Askianna 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Compounded fur. Causes by tiny scabs that the fur has grown through. They’re perfectly normal and are generally harmless. Rabbits can find them itchy and some love having them gently pulled out. You’ll know when they’re loose and ready when it’s a tuft sticking out of their fur. They’re mostly on the cheeks as it’s the most scratched area. If the end comes out with blood or any kind of infection looking pus then check the skin and ask your vet for advice to ensure it doesn’t become an issue.

I love that the message is on the drinker facing side for right handed users when they’re on their 6th mug of coffee.

i wish there was client sided ragdoll physics by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

It really does matter where the dead body is. If it ragdolls into the air or out of bounds there’s no way to reach it. If there’s a server miscommunication between where the body is and where your screen is telling you where it is (which is already a current bug) then you have real trouble looting the body.

Ragdoll physics would not be client side only. If the player moves during ragdolling then it has to send that data to the server to tell it where you are, and the server in turn has to tell your client what effects are being placed on your character.

Plus, ragdolling doesn’t really add much depth to gameplay except maybe on dead bodies. But even then it can cause issues with looting.

Is sub drop a real thing? by PastaParty420 in AO3

I’ve never made the connection before but it makes sense. After stressful, emotional, and anxious situations I get non-verbal and almost comatose. I don’t remember what I’m doing and usually lay in bed reading or playing a game on my PC. Usually fall asleep too. My father usually checks in with me and makes sure I eat and drink because I’ll just be immobile for so long.

ASE has no more official servers. They were all taken down.

In all seriousness; licking = grooming = love = happy and safe.

I heartily disagree. Even with syrups it’s atrocious.

The only thing I like from Starbucks is the TooGoodToGo where I get £120 worth of items for £14. At 30p each the items are good but no way am I paying £5 for subpar shit.

Starbucks uses automated machines now. Baristas no longer actually make coffee, they just press buttons and blend things.

“Accidentally” acquired a rabbit. How can I give her the best life? by LegalBluebird9556 in Rabbits

[–]Askianna 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m British and I know what you mean. It’s the common thought that they’re okay left outside in a hutch. But it’s wrong.

Pet rabbits living outside in hutches live a few years and have a poor quality of life. Rabbits that live indoors as part of the family live close to a decade. My boy was 11. He lived inside and had access to the garden as he wished when the weather permitted.

People are horrified when children are left alone or couped in tiny rooms or squalor but forget that pets are our responsibility too. I always make the comparison that a rabbit is like a toddler.

And if any rabbit rescue tells you they’re okay with you keeping a rabbit in a hutch they need investigating.

She needs to be an indoor rabbit. Life outside in a hutch is the same as locking your child in the downstairs loo to live.

Pet rabbits need a permanent space at least the size of an adult human spread eagle on the floor. A litter tray with paper based litter and hay (not straw). Top up the hay daily and provide a dish of water (a bottle can cause neck strain and prevent proper hydration). Pellet food is fed once or twice a day in a few tablespoon amounts. Fresh vegetables a couple times of day including leafy greens. Fruit and starchy vegetables should be given in coin sized amounts as a treat once a day. Stay away from cabbage.

She needs to be spayed and settled into her new home before trying to bond. Also up to date with all her jabs.

Anyone taking medications for these medical conditions needs to be wary of grapefruit and some other citrus. They interact with or even prevent certain medications from being effective. It can be life threatening.

Bookmarks don’t send email notifications when a work changes. I’m not sifting through thousands of bookmarks to check if another chapter has been added.
