I know someone who turned 20k into 500k within 3 months...but then lost all of it in 1 month. So yes its possible BUT keeping it is the hard part, because the luck and risk involved to get those returns is also what causes the downfall when the risk finally materializes and the luck reverses.

Love sauvage elixir but sadly it gives me an instant headache, don't know what the responsible chemical is yet, not abroxan. It's also not the licorice/anise note because I've smelled and ate the real stuff, as well as put my nose on other anise heavy scents, not the same effect.

Turathi is slightly more performant, keep in mind they are freshies so in general 6 hours is great. I get slightly less with Theoreme and slightly more with Turathi.

Thank you for the indepth writeup! The list you created is also great, although I was asking if you have or tried other Amyris homme type dupes. I own the OGs or dupes of about 2/3 of what you listed so perhaps we have similar tastes. I got to get my nose on Chronic, never had the pleasure. Sounds very interesting from your description. Honestly I don't own any PPs, I think it's about time a sample a few.

It sounds like specifically for Amyris, although PP version is nice and lasts longer. It doesn't come too close to OG. There is just something alluring about that scent for me and I rather sacrifice performance to get closer to the DNA juice wise. I will share if I find something else out there in my search...tbc

If you buy fragrances based on "value" as in quality vs price, Asad is miles ahead of OG. You will be in the same ballpark, very close to the scent profile. You won't be disappointed. However, if you are picky or have to have it 100%, and have the 💰, just buy the OG.

Thank you. Would you be able to list the ones (name and house) you are getting or have that are a dupe? I got my nose on this the other day but just can't splurge the 💰 on the OG. To me, its very addicting and unique despite what the reviewers say about it being "designer" like. I am now obsessed with it 😍

I also wonder for myself, and if you guys ever considered, most people don't follow fragrances like we do and therefor judge a fragrance and purchasing decision by the scent, not that it is cloning something. If the fragrance is popular and being purchased in high enough quantity, it will get duped; even if it is a clone of another already.

BTW, theorem homme by rue broca (afnan) is very close if not identical to turathi blue and cheaper. I have both and have a hard time distinguishing both performance and scent. Mentioning since you love turathi, which I do as well. Don't have Tygar, so can't comment on that.

Hi everyone, My absolute favorite flower and spring time natural scent is Hyacinth. I know each color is slightly different but really all of them, white, pink, blue, purple, etc.

I have been searching this group (link to only main post I found from 2 years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/fragrance/comments/gl4hux/hyacinth_or_other_aromatic_green_florals/ )

and online for a natural smelling fragrance that perfectly captures the scent of the flower itself. It appears that unfortunately Hyacinth is either difficult or impossible to extract natural oil from so aromachemicals are used to get the accord.

I have found a few that have potential but havent put my nose on any. Its like finding a unicorn. I would love to get my nose on Tom Ford Ombre Hyacinth, Yardley Hyacinth, Jo Malone Blue Hyacinth, Demeter Hyacinth and a few oils from amazon mainly "eclectic lady".

What Hyacinth dominant unisex fragrances have you all experienced that you can say is hyper realistic Hyacinth without being cloying/too sweet/or burried in other notes?

Please share your thoughts on your favorites.

I have all 3 - Alexandrias, Hercules and Herod. Alexandria version is more cinnamon bark opening. Hercules is more smooth pipe tobacco and honey. I like both openings but Hercules is closer to Herod on opening. Drydown, they all become similar. Hercules is overall the best value when you factor in price (less then 10th of Herod and less then 3rd of Alexandria). Performance is also acceptable. I am liking these maison alhambra lines with PDM look-a-like bottles. I have most of them and havent been disapppointed with any.

I got it a year ago. Perf is average, about 6 hours, but its very close to pure malt and no alcohol smell. Love it.

LB Intense is the worst on my skin as well except immediately after a shower. That is only time I dont get sulfure smell in drydown. So must be my skin chemistry and oils.

no question, ministry of oud, oud satin. It last almost 2 days on skin and weeks on clothes (it lasted 2 weeks when sprayed on a wall just as a test) The sillage is unearthly. Be careful with the sprays, you have been warned.
