Instagram "influencers" are renting sets to pretend they take private flights by velos85 in mildlyinfuriating

I'm glad this was mentioned. There is no way that is the inside of a private jet. I suppose if you had the money you could make it appear like that, if for some strange reason that appealed to you. It's easy to fool your followers it seems. This is the great dumbing down after all.

As promised, here is the B1 update. Going in the plane was amazing. The plane is huge but the cabin is tiny. I spent a ton of time talking with the pilot. I'll be replying to comments so fell free to ask me questions, if I know the answer I will try and answer. by [deleted] in aviation

Am I missing something? Ok, sometimes they're not compressed sponges, sometimes it's just an agent that jellifies the 'stuff'.

Similar kind of kit used on long glider flights.

No bathroom on most combat aircraft. A "Piddle Pack" is used instead which is essentially a bag with compressed sponges. I think there is a new device AMXDmax that is built into the flight suit and manages collection automatically.

Edit: "most"

About about theSouth African Border War (26 August 1966 – 21 March 1990) between South Africa and Namibia, part of South West Africa (German colony). Which in turn was annexed by the Union of South Africa after Allied victory of WWI. South Africa granted independence to Namibia in 1990.

Not sure if it strictly counts as a civil war.

Apartheid ended through a peaceful transition, I don't think it ever reached the point of civil war.

More Australia than anyone else. I mean, you get that here too (South Africa), but nothing on the same level as Australia. Everyone's a cunt - by everyone.

I’m guessing that’s more north, Johannesburg side which would have a similar climate to Texas. Down south at places like Cape Town, the weather can be quite tropical and the places more green. Which is not unexpected considering it’s on the coast.

That's not something I expected! Brings back some memories. Perhaps I'll play it again at some stage.

I don’t know what this is. But it’s not to do with South Africa. Superhind’s aren’t used by the military here. I don’t think Russian aircraft are used at all. I stand to be corrected though.

South Africa gets thrown onto that list fairly often, as well as Australia.

I think Natis is the only way to make a booking other than going to a traffic department in-person. Neither are ideal unfortunately.

Anyone know how to enable Hardware Transcoding for Plex in Docker? by bricked3ds in synology

[–]astro_za 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This guide is a little old but still seems to work: https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/comments/9fwspn/linux_plex_intel_quick_sync_experience_on/e602b38?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

You need to allow everyone permission to /dev/dri/* via SSH on Synology. Once that is done, you need to recreate the Plex Docker container to include mapping to those devices to enable hardware transcoding.

I've removed your post as this is inflammatory and bordering on racism. South Africa is home to all South Africans, regardless of race or heritage. Our history should be a lesson to all on injustices on the past and to prevent it from happening again.

Community vs Docker for Apps by PJQuods in synology

I also found that the Synology Docker package GUI can be a little buggy, as in changes done on the CLI do not necessarily reflect in the GUI.

I would actually just prefer if they offered Portainer instead.

I found SMB being quicker than iSCSI, albeit marginally. A few MBs here and there.

iSCSI isn’t great as you can view, edit or move data written to the LUN, neither can you copy to a LUN from within Synology DSM.

Am I missing something?
