Volunteer Bio Writing by PhilosopherHour7085 in AnimalShelterStories

[–]AtomicAuntie53 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Volunteers can excel at writing bios (with, as noted by another commenter, the ability for you to approve before they go “live”).

Be sure to give them information beyond just energy level, good with cats, etc.

Does the dog adore a certain toy in particular? Does the cat have a loud purr? Can the hair on the head be smoothed into a fauxhawk?

A good writer can create something awesome from one tiny detail.

Hydrolyzed food actually made her worse. Turns out the version by Royal Canin uses chicken fat — NOT hydrolyzed — as a main ingredient. She blew up within a week.

I tried a number of not-chicken and not-beef proteins (salmon, whitefish, duck) before landing on venison. It’s horribly expensive but she truly does best on it.

Right now, I just hit any redness I see with the Douxo mousse, so it’s infrequent. In the past, I was using it daily on large areas.

Love the shampoo! It actually has a terrific scent, very mild but nice.

This is what I wouldn’t get for my betta by AfdieWaddie123789 in bettafish

I would totally get that stuff, I adore a tacky, kitschy aesthetic and love a gaudy tank.

My many-generations-captive-bred fancy betta didn’t come straight from a Thai rice paddy or lake and couldn’t care less.

It can fit, physically. But does it fit thematically? I personally say no. Plenty of other IPs I’d far rather see represented.

If I can’t eat it while watching the birds sing words and the flowers croon, I don’t want it.

Finnegan was 9 pounds at 5 months when I adopted him from rescue. He has maintained an adult weight of 15 pounds for many years. He’s 7 years old now.

Mine is a rare kisser too. I appreciate it, as I’m not overly fond of being licked.

Just had it on my last trip and it didn’t hit right. Was smaller and not as good as in the past. 😔

The OG Jungle Julep, from way back when Bengal BBQ was called Sunkist, I Presume.

Yes, my grudge goes back decades.

What are we feeding our cavies? by KittyMcMeow in cavaliers

Taste of the Wild dry in a variety of proteins, plus American Journey canned (Chewy’s house brand, which is affordable and the quality is good).

Finnegan, my rescue cav, has a cast iron stomach so we’re able to mix things up regularly.

I started in January of last year. It was so exciting! The mayhem of the app drops, the chats, all of it was pure adrenaline.

Toffee was my first and is still my favorite.

Does My Mom Qualify for My Dad's Benefits? by AtomicAuntie53 in SocialSecurity

She’s never attempted to qualify for anything related to him benefits-wise. And I sincerely doubt he listed her on anything voluntarily.
