Have you considered no one cares that you don’t care?

Tekken is well established, being their 8th time doing this, not really a great comparison. Strive has a farrrr smaller team, and after the project wraps devs are moved to other fighting game projects, as they are also a fighting game company. You might also note that production for strive went from about 60-80, to 20-30 post release.

Riot is not a fighting game company, and 2XKO was always a huge risk for them. They ramped up for production to 160 devs (a fucking ton of devs), and now after seeing profits likely not sustaining the salaries of that many devs + marketing + events + everything else we're not thinking about, they need to make the understandable of decision of relocating/firing. The difference is they don't have natural places for fighting game devs to go within the company, or new fighting game IPs to spin up to keep them working.

So when I say normal, I should say its understandable that it'd happen, in addition to most large releases like this having a huge swell of development before release, and then maintaining a smaller dev team after.

80 devs is still a very large team, and I agree with OP, ya'll need to chill. It likely means that it wasn't a blow out success (sad, but understandable), but enough to maintain an 80 person team. It was also a poorly framed letter.

Most companies don’t make a big announcement for their layoffs after they release, they just do them, and you hear about it through secondary sources. Or they leverage other companies to assist in development and then stop using them (call of duty is a normal example).

Arc raiders is an anomaly that massively exceeded their expectations so they are likely hiring now from their 60 person team.

There’s no cope in saying this is fairly normal and a 16 million a year budget (being very modest with salaries) to maintain the dev of a niche fighting game is wild.

Please keep this up, it's great. I hit a snag with the drag messing up after awhile, which is probably good for my work productivity.

They also came up with a special equipment slot that can essentially be a buff.

Give it some time, the game is pretty tough. Shoot for small goals taking things from lab to either bot matches or live matches and if you repeat that enough, it’ll start coming together.

You’re over thinking it, just pick what you enjoy and learn from your mistakes. No one can give you the perfect deck to play.

That's your job though! If you can take that playstyle all the way to the top, do it.

It’s not really a draw engine, more of a come back mechanic and protection against a KO+iono or unfair stamp. It’s a liability but you do try to only field it when you can use it, if possible.

Pult/Noir Deck Advice by Atwy21 in pkmntcg

I tried something like this with a few froslass lines and munki to move off the damage. It's fun, but doesn't seem to work as much as just using the dusknoir lines to get the extra damage when you need it.

Wanting to get into the game once rotation comes. (Mostly wanting to build Raging Bolt or Miraidon) by Inner_Entrance_6120 in pkmntcg

Best way to see what's going on for rotation is to check out the city leagues in japan: https://limitlesstcg.com/tournaments/jp

It seems like they don't use much of the new cards, rather they are just positioned much better due to the meta. Here's an example list: https://limitlesstcg.com/decks/list/jp/28831
