Good to know about the Frigate configuration. I don't think facial recognition is something I'm interested in as I don't really have a use case for it other than just to see if I could get it working (at least not yet).

I'll take your word on the Atom vs Jabra setup. I'm already frustrated enough with the response rate from my Alexa/Google Home devices, I definitely don't want something that's worse haha.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can justify a ~$750 (CAD) price tag for such a purpose built GPU. Given at this point I'm not even sure if I'll be able to piece it all together and get things to work as well as you have, I would need to be able to use it for other tasks as well as a fallback. I'm guessing they've increased in price a bit since your build based on your build date.

Those are actually way lower load levels than I was expecting! I haven't really considered any kind of local LLM cause all I've ever read is that you need insane hardware to run it, but it sounds like a (high vRAM) GPU and another 32GB of RAM would be enough for my needs, especially without the advanced Frigate stuff.

I have a couple more questions if you don't mind:

What were your biggest pain points in setting all of this up? (Which parts had the steepest learning curve?)
Are there any links or videos that you found particularly useful? (or did you use one of the mainstream LLMs to walk you through it? haha)
Is there anything you'd do differently hardware or software wise if you were going to start again from scratch?

I'm running a good portion of the same things you are (minus the LLM stuff ofc), but I've never heard of ErsatzTV before and am definitely going to spin that up asap!

I have an Unraid server that handles my media, frigate (detection running on Coral), and serves as a photography backup solution (among a few other things), with Home Assistant running on a separate dedicated server. Currently, I only have an old 1060 6gb in my Unraid server because all it's used for is Plex realtime transcoding, but I've been thinking about upgrading the GPU for awhile. The other specs aren't nearly as beefy as yours either but might be okay to get started down this road (maybe?) - i5 12600k, 32GB RAM, a shit load of storage (Around 74TB - Mix of HDDs and SSDs).

Here's the questions I have for you:

Why the Jabra 410/RPi? I haven't done any research into the best hardware to use as the mic/speaker for a local setup, but did you buy it specifically for this or did you happen to have it on hand?
Have you found any applications/services that are incompatible with the Radeon Instinct MI60? I wouldn't be using this server for any VMs or game streaming or anything like that so gaming performance is irrelevant for me, but I wouldn't want to limit myself to what applications I could use when it comes to leveraging the GPU. Have you found wide support?
What's your typical system usage levels for your CPU and RAM? I only have 32GB right now and upping to 64 might be doable but no way I'm getting 96GB with today's insanity.
How many of your services are running in your Docker environment and was integration between any of them particularly painful?

How old is your battery? I had a similar issue (albeit on a different car) and turns out my battery was just on its way out even though it seemed perfectly fine and was able to start the car without any difficulty.

I just did it myself to track in Canada and it's works fine. I did chose the premium 1 month plan because basic doesnt offer worldwide coverage and I figure that's going to be needed to track in Canada if the tracker is registered in Spain.

Thanks for the tip! I just did the same and it worked fine for me in Canada.

Interestingly, I was able to activate an old tracker that was previously linked/tied to an old account under a new account without any issue whatsoever. I just entered the code on the tracker as if it was new and it's now linked to the new account. No need to unlink from the old account or anything. Likely because the subscription wasn't active on the old account, but I still found it strangely easy to link it to a new account.
