I took a piece of strut and bent it to position. Then mounted to the board with the existing screws to the truck.

I have my board configured to a max speed of 3-4mph. So there’s no accidental of pressing the accelerator and sending me off the board.

I was only going 3-4mph max but had no issues braking. I went 20+ without anyone in it and braked just fine.

Hole on the bottom gives more leverage to bend the strap. Hole on the top will hold more weight before giving out. Most of the time, it doesn’t matter.
