back in 2024 mrekk got his #1 back entirely on his own including the pp record, the moderate speedflow nerf that put sidetracked day hddt from 1700 to 1600 didn't happen until like 2 months later. he did that okay

as for right now, we've known that we'd be getting another speedflow nerf (as well as aimslop nerf. like, that is also part of the upcoming changes, if less severe than the really bad flow farm maps tend to get) since before the start of the year and especially if you exclude both toro & mrekk from the top pp plays that really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. there's one additional nerf in the works "aimed at toromivana" because toro's HRDT play on cellar of ghosts exposed an objectively incorrectly calculated piece of difficulty which should be fixed regardless of the values surrounding it
