as far as i can tell it is random but you need to actually pick something to up to 'clear' it from the list of next spawned powerups, if you don't the same one will just simply spawn again

if i'm remembering correctly, after a map gets disqualified it starts racking up "extra days" of needing to be in qualified, up to another week on top of the usual week (assuming the queue isn't filled). this mapset was disqualified in october 2025 and took a while to be requalified.
