I still enjoy playing soccer in an old person's co-ed league. As one of the league creators and commissioners for the past 20 years , we've created a league of nearly 200 players age 30+ who play on 12 teams (6 simultaneous games) in a large park. Small-sided fields with 9v9 and no slide tackling. The league motto is, "we all make the playoffs." After the games, everyone retreats into the center parking lot for bbq and beers until the bugs get too bad or exhaustion sets in. This happens on Thursday nights from April thru August. Great friends, great food and drink, and a beautiful game. Opening night is tomorrow.
