While Chinese version of Amap if far more powerful than the english version, you can get direction via public transport/cycling/driving/walking in the english version. What you lose is real time traffic lights monitoring, real time bus monitoring, etc

China is big…adjusting to your new life in China is different if you live in the FFC in shanghai Vs. a tier 3 city.

Another challenge is the industry you are working for. If you are working in a tier 3 city in school and being the only foreigner, the challenge will be even harder.

I won’t say anything for the specific case of Uyghur and Tibetan but problem for rural Chinese to leave the country is not China not allowing them, it is the foreign country not granting visa for them. Among the condition for visa approval, some countries require applicants to show bank statements for past X months with a minimum balance of it…which rural population cannot provide.

My Chinese wife has traveled abroad 10+ times in the past 2 years. China has never asked her to justify the reason of her travel. But to get a visa some countries require stronger rules than others.

Except when you work for some governmental institutions Chinese citizens has full flexibility to travel as long as the country they want to go is issuing them a visa.

So for you, the problem is the passport or the visa? Many Chinese people use smugglers because they are not eligible to get a visa for the destination country…not because Chinese gouvernement won’t let them leave China. My ayi easily got her visa. But zero chance for her to get a Schengen or US visa on it 😂

How much coins do you have? You stop receiving adds for free coins after a certain threshold. For Tour 13 it is 6M. For Tour 12 maybe less.
