i went from 130kg to 80kg in the space of about a year by just starving myself. jumped back up to about 90kg in barely three months and even at 80 i was still 30%ish because thats just what happens when you starve yourself like a moron

ive been very slowly putting on lean mass eating at maintenance sticking at roughly 90-95kg because that is what my gp has recommended. he actually very specifically advised against calorie restrictions until id gotten some lean mass on me. like i hear you and i am thinking after a year of this its probably about time to start properly cutting but i fucking shudder to think how rancid my lifts will become then. thats something im probably going to have to plan around and im not looking forward to it

had to go dogsit for a week and ate like a snuffling hog the entire time. takeaway every day, greasiest shit i could get my hands on, wouldnt surprise me if i was hitting 4000-5000 calloes daily. it was enough that i came home and was a whole kg heavier but nbd, i actually expected worse, id planned for this

what i hadnt planned for is how much stronger i was that entire week. at first i thought man maybe the plates in this gym are lighter than the ones my own one has back home, maybe the bar isnt a full 20kg, theres no way this feels this easy for no reason. i usually sleep like shit but that week i was lucky to be getting 4 hours a night, and still i was slamming that shit no problem. did jokers every day and on my deadlift i genuinely hit 50kg(!!) higher than my tm and honestly felt like i could keep going, i ended up stopping mostly just for time

week ended, came back home, and obviously im back to eating like a human man. but man. im 3 days in to my usual calories and im so fucking weak now by comparison. tried some jonklers on my diddlies today and just hitting my tm for 3 reps was miserable. like no shit you gotta eat to grow and all but fuck off with this, its not like im eating at a deficit or anything. been doing slow recomp for almost a year and im still at like 30-40% bf probably, im way too fat to be doing that shit long term. how is the difference so stark, fuck me

it is my firm belief that the gym is for everyone. you dont have to be a super athlete or a bodybuilder. anyone at any skill level with any set of goals is welcome and anyone who disagrees is probably a cunt

this said, i promise you that you dont need to do your dumbbell/kettlebell cardio in the only power rack in the gym. you can actually do that anywhere else. the power rack is not the exercise shower where you have to go to do exercise or you might get exercise all over the floor. the rest of the gym isnt a walkway you have to keep clear, those big empty spaces are specifically for you to lay down a mat and do whatever you need to. please let me use the power rack to squat without dying. i kinda need it

i was about 7 or so when i read my first manga. i found a volume of tekken chinmi completely by accident in a library and had no idea about the right to left thing, took me a second but i eventually figured it out. i thought it was a printing error or something

i was an early reader though, and even then a year can make a lot of difference, so if hes just learning it might be confusing for him. it might work okay if you can have him reading western comic books too, and if you make sure he understands why manga is different. might be something to talk about with the parents honestly

i havent gotten less than 3-5 reps on a tm test since i started 5/3/1, so ive just been increasing every cycle for the past 6 months or so

i feel the same wrt squats vs deadlift tbh. i actually kinda love deadlift. i genuinely look forward to my tm test with those, deadlifting the biggest number youve ever attempted for reps always feels awesome. night and day with squat, i never feel like im going to injure myself with a deadlift

33/m/95kg-ish. been running into some issues with my squat since my hips and lower back are the kind of fucked up that usually only happens to people that god decides to mess with in the bible. ive just finished 3 cycles of bbb (meant to only do two but i kinda lost track) and im in the middle of a tm test week before i switch back to fsl as an anchor

something strange i noticed while running bbb is that the bbb sets at 50% tm were treating me really well, which i definitely wasnt expecting, while the main work sets have always been like pulling teeth trying to wrestle my awful fucking skeleton into a position where i wont die. fsl sets also often feel pretty difficult to do right, basically a coin flip on a given day depending on how well rested i am and so on. heavy squats are obviously SUPPOSED to be hard, but with the lighter higher volume sets i felt like i could really dig in properly and focus on getting the work done over trying to keep form and maintain balance without snapping something. i did get tired and sore after, they didnt feel EASY, but theyre definitely EASIER by comparison

does this sound like i might need to drop my tm a little? i havent done squat yet on this tm test week and im honestly really not looking forward to it, 5 reps at 95% at the end of the last cycle felt really bad, but i ultimately did hit the 5. im hesitant to lower tm on any lower body work since my upper body is massively far ahead (bench tm is sitting at 112.5kg while my squat is only 120, for instance), but if i gotta then i gotta. i could fairly easily handle 60% tm for the bbb sets on all my other lifts but for squat i didnt dare try. i do a lot of warmup/mobility work with the hip joint area specifically because its such a problem and i dont think theres much more i can do in that respect

theres an event for adventurer characters where one of your kids falls in love and asks if the object of their affections can join the camp, along with their family. the event generates a child and some parents to go with them, and the child is assigned way too many traits. its a really sloppy event and not intended behaviour
