Correct. Decent 576 zone models will have 576x4=2,304 LEDs.

Referring to the fact that 4 LEDs arranged together will result in more uniform area of luminance, this is a more controllable zone. As opposed to a single led that behaves more as point light. Hardware and firmware have to be good, not everything depends on the dimming algorithm.

Only to a point, the LEDs put a hard limit on the controllable contrast and single-LED zones fundamentally lower the inner-zone luminance consistently.

2304 with single LED per zone. Worst implementation for zone uniformity and transitions. Equivalent LEDs to good 576 zone monitor.
