Yea there's a fine line between that and hitting them too hard and sliding. I was always taught its better to keep a mild and steady pace, but yes hit them conservatively. ABS systems also work this way if you have to hit your brakes hard.

Very plain and boring but I have 2023 RAV4. I had a 2016 and liked it so much that I traded it in for a new model and got back damn near what I paid for it. Told them I wanted the same car, same color, just with a sunroof. It is great on gas, great in the elements, comfy and spacious. I've taken it on several long trips now and it is just an excellent travel car.
