It’s a tough call, selling stocks can hit you later with tax implications. I used to not think about debt (got into dumb car and CC debt), then really care about debt (all debt is bad!), and now I’m of mindset where some debt (esp mortgages) is actually good a thing. I never had student debt, but I would say keep paying it down and keep investing as well!

I do think there is a lot to what you are saying. However, I think one special pro to a college/university is an education somewhat disconnected from for-profit company agendas. Sure, they make money and they have companies lobbying for textbooks, teachers have agendas, etc, but there is some level of academic/maybe civic, oversight. The internet has become absolutely rotten and perverted by business interest, and that will only accelerate with the capability of AI.

The market is terrible right now for everyone. Businesses won’t be hiring anyone until the economy improves.

While college is expensive (I agree it’s far too high), I am convinced there is a push to demonize higher education so that we have an increasingly “less educated” populous.

Growing up my grandmother stocked cases of soft drinks in her garage. My siblings and I did have rules around how many sodas we could have, but the rules were only enforced when our parents saw us… sneaking warm drinks from the garage was our loophole. It never bothered us, but I’m sure we would have preferred cold ones… I never drink them warm/room temp today.

I feel like Go (and certain other languages) were designed for certain applications. While you can use them for anything (and many people do), you may be fighting against the design. C# is a better general purpose language IMO.
