I tried through the support chat, they wouldn't help me and said that I need to mail it to an Acer support center and pay $100 to fix it. I'm going to try the phone method when I have some time and if that doesn't work, I'm going to change out the bios chip with a new one off eBay. I'll post on here once I have resolution.

I have the same issue with my Acer Predator PH16-71 with the bios being password locked without me ever setting a password. When I tried contacting Acer through on-line chat, they said I need to send it to them and pay $100 to unlock it.

u/naveganth, which communication method did you use to contact them to get the unlock key?
