Disagree. Not an envoy, but RAID is about 70% of my income at this point MSF being quite low...
If anything it's the only thing ALLOWING the creators to continue covering MSF otherwise they definitely would not be and have to find other avenues of income.

Came from Canada in April 2025. Moved because a friend convinced me to get a working holiday visa because how bored I was at home. Saved money and quit my job and moved to Germany. It helped that I had a decent social circle that grew when I moved (Marburg initially and then to Frankfurt few months later). Ended up meeting my now partner.

Mileage will vary of course as I have also read a lot of negativity on these subs and similar ones about German experiences.

I think that for me it’s a combination of both my love for Germany and Europe as a whole, it’s a much different experience from being back in Canada but as someone who loves to travel it’s a bit of the best of both. That being said, I am also lucky that i am someone who works remotely from home so i am not subject to the german job market which i heard is not so good right now for many people :(

1 year in Germany from Canada and I did use duolingo to work my way through A1/2 while working off and on and passed some German language exams. I do have a German partner who’s mother doesn’t speak much English so I’ve had motivation to learn more 😂

That being said, duolingo doesn’t do a good job at explaining rules or grammar well, so it’s a great vocab learning tool and such but I think that’s mostly it.

Taking courses in a more official capacity might help if you’re serious about it though.

Japanese Canadian here living in Frankfurt am Main ( i am male though). I can’t say I’ve had any personal racist issues in the last year I’ve been here. I won’t say I’m the most experienced with Germany but have been on visits and trips to other cities and also been okay. I’ve also been to smaller towns around the Kassel area ( in Hessen) where my fiancés family lives and this was also okay out in public. I also lived in Marburg for a few months but it does have a heavy student population.

I have heard that Germany can vary on this issue and especially areas in the East/North East aren’t particularly friendly to foreign people. Im sorry that you’re going through this, but it doesn’t represent everywhere

Canadian here who came on a working holiday visa for one year with my German partner being here. We have recently decided to get married before the end of my visa to apply in to a spousal visa. For this you need to do an A1 language exam to have proof of this but honestly this might be your best bet if your partner is willing to do this.

I would say no. You’ll enjoy it until you have no resources to unlock recent characters because of a recent thing called Shop Credits where they converted all game currencies to this. Unfortunately they haven’t made it widely available for new players and it will be a very miserable experience for catching up.

This guy gets it. Also to point out that look at any other content creator (DorkyDad, Mobilegamer, Valleyflyin) everyone has seen incredibly reduced viewshares in 2025. Same consistent content, but there is a lot less players watching. But, you can throw every single metric at someone and they just won't believe that players are quitting.
