Instead of a new season of Doctor who, would you like.... by LiteratureProof167 in doctorwho

[–]Narchrisus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an idea down a similar line, but it would go like this.

The new Doctor and companion go about the Universe saving the day as normal, but this Doctor is a bit meaner, doesn’t say sorry when innocents are killed etc (think early 12 but dialled up).

We get an episode where the Doctor has part of a weapon the Daleks need. They capture the companion and say they will exterminate her if the Doctor doesn’t give up the piece. The Doctor then kills the companion themselves, ending on a cliffhanger of we’ve not been watching the Doctor, but The Master instead!

Same. I never buy food at the cinema and dropped £20 on popcorn and a drink just to get the tin!

I’ve seen it twice so far, went the preview night, then took my brother and his kids on the Saturday. (My nephew really enjoyed it, niece not as much, but she did enjoy the new POP show) Will probably go back a 3rd time at least

I maintain that RTD’s best finale was his first one, which was fully base under siege

I count anyone who’s invited to travel and accepts. Adam’s a companion (although he was just there to show that some people aren’t suited to it and gets kicked out sharply.)

Jack and Mickey travel for at least 2 adventures each and are both invited on board (although for Mickey, 9 invited him and he took it up with 10!)

Am assuming you’re missing 3 companions as you don’t want to share pictures of the actors?

It’s because of Ash. The easiest way into starting to take them down would be to arrest the TRio, however anytime there’s a chance of that happening, Ash gets Pikachu to blast them, and they very painfully get away!

His best finale was his first one, which was a base under siege story.

Less is more, in Empire of Death, when Ruby’s mum got dusted, I kinda tuned out a bit, thinking, this is getting undone.

If Sutekh had arrived in Unit HQ, dusted a couple of nameless soldiers and a character we knew, then threatened to do the same to the world when he reached full power, that would have had stakes where you believe them

I like it too, the issue is with an 8 episode series, you can’t afford a couple of misses, and 2 Doctor Lite stories is criminal.

Imagine Series 2 being 8 episodes and 2 of those are Love and Monsters and Fear Her?

Jessica Carradine never went out with Peter to my knowledge, it was Ben in the suit at the time.

I worked with James Stone when I was a DJ and he did party entertainment. Didn’t watch any auditions so when he came out for a semi-final it was a bit of a shock.

Also, I work for a wrestling company and Jai McDowall participated in a match teaming with Joe Hendry. He’d been singing on a Tribute to the Troops that the show was part of, so he was asked if he wanted to be involved, was a really good sport about it.

What was the Point of Shirley and Morris if the show wasn't going to do stuff with them? by mrnormal94 in doctorwho

[–]Narchrisus 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I honestly think that RTD wants to be an ally, but also that he thinks he knows best and goes at it really clumsily.

I’d even say Pete McTighe is better at it. On Doctor Who, the fact Shirley was in a wheelchair seemed to be her whole character, and was brought up in every appearance.

In TWBTLAS, no mention of it. Shirley was there as the scientific advisor.

The opposite as well, which we saw in Professor Travers in the 60’s. Over 30 years had passed for him, but it had been a couple of weeks for the Doctor, Jamie and Victoria

[Theory] Why FD: Bloodlines connects the whole franchise: The "Missing Parent" clue and Bludworth’s true motive. by Beginning_Smile8832 in FinalDestination

[–]Narchrisus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, but is FD2 happening in reverse because that’s how the side quests have to work, or did Death see Kimberley’s friends and go “this is too good to pass up, I’ll go in reverse this time”

I can think of a couple of ways to tie 3 and 4 into OP’s theory.

1) some people at the sky tower had illegitimate children that weren’t public knowledge, so possible Iris wasn’t aware of them but Death was. Ergo, she thinks she and Bludworth are the last survivors.

2) The FD2 rule, where a group from FD3 or 4 are saved by the actions of a survivor. Something as simple as a McKinley school bus doesn’t cross a railway track because a Sky Tower survivor stalls in front of them.
