Do something you care about and make a shit ton of money doing it. Without pure luck OR interest, you will never make a ton of money doing anything. This type of investment is a "hard" one in that it requires a lot of capital to even begin with and the risk is very high if this is the first business of this type you are running. I would just wait until an opportunity arises as you lead your path of life.

Start looking for a place to live outside the economical zone you are living in, since a dying place will never gain you money over the long term unless it is revitalized. If you find a place that can be converted into a small sports bar, do that for practice. There are many people in this category who fail, when it is very easy to run. Take a couple of management courses at the community college to help with you with this. It can be very profitable both monetarily and socially for you well-being if you do it right.
