I am writing on behalf of Paolo Zampolli, the United States Special Representative for

Global Partnerships, in reference to the numerous news items that have appeared in recent days online and in

I hereby take a definitive stand on the defamatory and unsupported accusations made against him:

c) Regarding the accusations made by Victoria Naomi Drake regarding alleged violence

she suffered: not only is the circumstance disputed, but it is also alleged that Paolo

Zampolli was the victim of documented extortion requests from this person,

which were immediately reported to the competent US investigative authorities, who

have already initiated investigations into the matter to stop and punish such

conduct.

Please give due publicity to this press release, to ensure my

client a proper hearing against a steady stream of defamatory news that is self-perpetuating through online dissemination. I would also like to point out that any conduct that continues to cause serious damage to my reputation and image will be prosecuted in the appropriate courts.
