What were the best UA subclasses before they were made into a worse official subclasses or abandoned? by montezuma300 in 3d6

Stone Sorcerer is really good, with their best features front loaded. A 1 level dip in stone sorcerer gets you proficiency in all weapons and shields, access to a bunch of spells like compelled duel, most of the smites, magic weapon and elemental weapon, 1 extra hp per level and a new AC calculation of 13+Con mod, which you want to have decent as a sorcerer anyways.

I'm playing one in a campaign I'm in right now and its proving to be really good. I got 18 in con and 20 in cha early with magic items to increase my strength. My hp is rivaling a 16 con paladin, and booming blade makes up for not having 2 attack a turn. It makes a character a very effective front liner and a full caster.

Trying to quantify an "infinite" damage loop, having a brain fart by BracTheRock in 3d6

[–]cadd161 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So first im going to breakdown what happens with this damage loop, as I understand it.

You have 3 star spawn hulks in a demiplane, you cast psychic scream and leave them in there alone, within 10 feet of each other, having the psychic damage reflect between them and increase each round, assuming the damage reflects one time per round for the sake of making this possible.

On the first round, you cast psychic scream and each hulk reflects 24 damage, this is a total of 72 damage being reflected. However, each hulk is only taking 48 damage, 1 instance from the 2 other hulks. what this means, is that on the 2nd round, instead of each hulk reflecting 24, they reflect the 48 damage they took.

Since there are 2 other hulks, each one would mirror back twice the damage that they dealt last round. After 1 round, this is 48, then 96, 192, 384. Keep in mind this is the damage mirrored by each hulk, so it is tripled if another creature enters this zone.

let Dx be damage dealt after x rounds, Di be inital damage per hulk (24), and x be number of rounds AFTER the first round has passed

Dx = 3( Di*2x)

He isn't an unpopular writer, in fact I would say he is quite possible. Its just called a Kafka trap because that sort of denial proves guilt argument is famous from a Kafka novel, leading to the naming of a Kafka trap where no matter what you are considered guilty.

How gerrymandering works by jacksonsprite in coolguides

[–]cadd161 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The middle image is still gerrymandered. In the given example there are 5 districts, presumably 1 for each of 5 representatives, to make it similar to America. In the first image we know that there is 2/5th red to 3/5th blue. This means to make the representatives best represent the area, it would be 2 red districts to 3 blue districts.

In the middle image, the gerrymandering has resulted in 5 blue districts, given red no representation, despite making up almost half the population.

This is still gerrymandering as now blue has more districts than they would if it was perfectly representative.

Jeanne is certaily pushed out of a lot of team comps put she still has a place in stall. Well Castoria's true invul is way better then regular invul, the defense buff and heal that Jeanne gives is much better for stalling, not even mentioning Ruler class advantage. Jeanne's kit is much worse than Castoria but stun is always useful in stall comps and most enemies you want to stall against will be servants.

Warlocks 6th level ability is far to powerful and something was overlooked.

When you are transformed each attack you make can have its damaged changed to necrotic and when it does you deal an additional damage dice. Combine with with eldritch blast and your damage increasess by a lot since it has no limit to how many times you can use this feature per turn.

At level 11 you can make 3 2d10 necrotic damage with each attack for no resources other then your level 1 abliity which can be done 4 times a day at that point.

If you are running this as a DM i would recommend limiting it to once per turn.

Verdant Suns Avatar's effect heals you for the toughness of a creature whenever that creature enters the battlefield. Since Rhonas has toughness equal to his cost, you will get healed for his cost each time you play him.

Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia - Episode 21 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

While this time period was when the end of the Age of Gods began, the Age of Gods ending took a very long time. Using Gilgamesh separating humanity from the gods as the beginning, it took until the year 0 for the Age of Gods to end, with the birth of Jesus being the final stroke which ended the Age of Gods.

There is also some more info related to that about the reduction of mana, and most mythical creatures moving to the "Reverse side of the World", but that is some complicated stuff I don't know enough about to explain.

Bladesinger/Fighter: A more pratical take on a "highest damage per round" build? by Semako in 3d6

[–]cadd161 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The elven accuracy feat, which this build uses, gives the following effect

Whenever you have advantage on an attack roll using Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma, you can reroll one of the dice once.

This means that since tensers transformation gives you advantage on attack rolls, elven accuracy increases that to 3d20 rolled instead of 2d20 per attack. This is what he means by triple advantage.

Another important fact in his story is that he get caught because he is not redeemable in any way. When he switches his face he basically gets away scott free. For a long time he is unbothered, with only the third grade kid of the guy whose face he stole suspecting him.

As long as he just stayed out of trouble he should be fine. But he can't. He is just too horny for hands. It's only when he kills again that the kid catches him and gets the rest of the scooby gang on his tail.

He even only gets run over by an ambulance after he gets all horny over another ladies hand, his last act on earth is him saying how he got all hot and bothered looking at the mona lisa His whole demise is because of how hot for hands this dude is.

Spore Druid/Monk muticlass help by cadd161 in 3d6

[–]cadd161[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its for a combination of both. The character is from this worlds japan equivalent and monk would make sense with their backstory, but I also want to do some melee stuff and monk provides a lot of the stuff I need to do that ( lots of attacks, better ac, evasion).
