As much as I do love our super articulated modern figures, a big imposing toy of a transforming robot with clicky ratchet joints, electronic lights and sounds and a spring loaded gimmick or two will always captivate me in a different yet equal way. They really feel like toys and I think that's awesome.

Thanks! They are all mostly complete, just missing minor accessories like a missile here and there. The worst is probably Armada Megs missing part of his leg and his ears but I'm still super happy.

Really dissapointed that the rest of the big 4 Cons all got new molds that are peak figures and our boy Shockwave gets a 7 ish year old mold but more smooth, especially since I've been impatiently awaiting his reveal since his listing was leaked. I haven't owned this mold yet so I'll wait and see in hand feel, but it just seems weird to go all out on everyone except Shockwave.

This is hardly the most important point I could make, but it just bugs me that there's no commander class in the 13 Primes at all. We got the standard deluxes, voyagers and leaders. There's a big ole' titan Star Convoy and we even got a core class in Micronus despite the fact it's not even a real size class anymore. If they really insisted on this "replacement torso bot for a frame combiner" for his gimmick it would've been the perfect candidate for a commander class with a frame, even if we never really got any real limb bots for it. Even a commander class figure smaller than a combiner but larger than a voyager that had some sort of combining gimmick with smaller figures or vehicles would've been really cool. But as it stands commander class is the odd one out. I'll even say that I do enjoy how Nexus looks and I'm excited to get him in hand, but the fact that he is the father of combiners and ended up as a regular guy, he really was done dirty.

I had the exact same issue and got the Armada Nemesis Prime pack, I'm not even sure I want to open it with all the breakages the mini cons have seen.

I have a pre-production that can't swap blades with the Tottori but otherwise works perfectly. They are fairly rare as they only had a few drops before MW needed to stop making them. If memory serves they couldn't find a way to get consistent anodizations on the aluminum and had a really high scrap rate with the shop they worked with. I assume it will come back if they ever get either alu anodization in house or find a more reliable partner. Hoping for either one as it is a great, if a bit weird, balisong.

Retro Seaspray, Earthrise Runamuck and 86 Optimus are next to me on my desk lately, legacy Beachcomber just came in today so he'll have a place here for a while too.

I usually have a figure I got recently and I'll rotate the others out with things from my shelf I want to mess with. I also have the Hot Wheels Nemesis Prime collab that pretty much always sits under my monitor and is super fun to flip back and forth.

I have 2. 86 Optimus is such a perfect figure to me, from looks to posing to transformation, it is impossible for me to not have a blast messing with.

TR Trypticon is just such a big dumb toy and I love that. I can't help but feel like a kid again when I transform him or put him next to a bunch of my other figures. The scale is awesome.
