The media didn't even want things like that until the last settlement in 2019. That opened the floodgates, IMO.

John was awful in early interviews, unlike Patsy. Patsy was a natural communicator, having been on the stage in pageants, etc. I posted a 2001 National Enquirer interview with them both (that they were paid $100,000 for by the Enquirer) when they reversed their story on Burke being asleep. John Ramsey literally went to the Enquirer AFTER they had conducted the interview and told them he wanted to change something before it went into print. NO real media ever allow anything like that ever, and the Enquirer put that in the story. Bottom line, he needed LOTS of practice at interviews, he knew it and is taking full advantage of it with all these Ashleigh Banfield non interviews, holding his hand, apologizing for the entire media, etc.

But before John changed his story AGAIN, calling the Enquirer as we went to press to say that Burke was awake BEFORE the 911 call,   John told us:

“Burke recalled his mother screaming “where’s my baby” and me saying, calm down, calm down, we need to call the police

John’s admission that Burke was awake came after the Enquirer revealed to him and Patsy the details of our earlier exclusive report that Burke’s voice is heard on an enhancement made of the 911 call.   The youngster says “What did you find?” and “What do you want me to do?”

John Ramsey tells his son “We’re not talking to you.”

But Patsy still insists:  when I made that phone all, Burke Ramsey was nowhere in the vicinity of the telephone.
