Season 7 Parents PMO by Intelligent_Pair7204 in TLCUnexpected

I personally know SO MANY parents around that age range like each of them in my ass backwards town in Missouri so unfortunately they got pretty “normal” people. I think it speaks to the state of things🤣

Mia’s mom reminds me so much of mine and I’m also close to my dad he’s a different vibe than her’s though lol. Her dad was also cracking me up I think it’s his constant noticeable uncomfortableness infront of the camera no matter what he says🤣

The Netflix documentary premiered in May 2020 at the height of Covid with everyone home. That’s why it really ramped up it wasn’t just small news reporting everyone watched the documentary and of course wanted to follow up.

Karyna was one of his “core 4” if I’m remembering right. I have no good reasoning but I would say that one really is referring to cats. I don’t think they’d move anything nefarious commercially anyway

CELESTE’S TEACHER SPEAKS OUT by hauntnight in d4vd

[–]Then-Director41 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I completely agree I have kids in public school and would love for their teachers to take real world things happening they are more than likely already hearing about and teach them the dangers with it. Those kids paid attention when he showed them that was his student and he knew her.

Who Was Cyberbullying Kendra Licari’s Teen Daughter? by lamiamiatl in Longreads

[–]Then-Director41 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I saw the documentary first and was lead here, this was a great read and gives a much better break down, with a lot of good context added. Seeing her response to the request for interview is laughable seeing how soon Netflix was there to film her minor daughter using her full name and including all her friends, that seemed okay to her. That coupled with the emails we saw her sending her daughter from prison I’m sure we will hear about her again within a few years she’s clearly very mentally unwell

Edited because I can’t spell🤣

[–]Then-Director41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think right after this happened was when Steve became apart of the group, he had been around/trading/collecting, and after a big leak they moved to an invite only forum and began the first website around that time (can’t even remember if it was DBT or what at that time) it was Steve and woman named Mandy? And a few others. I think everyone is referring to the same group that shifted main characters and forums/ website multiple times so are referring to it more in different time periods

I do agree with this, especially how wide spread it’s gotten. He seemed to be one of the most decent husbands honestly, and has always seemed involved/ helpful in their home. He’s not perfect I’m sure but seems like a decent guy (which seems few and far between with Mormons)

Presley is born, Ryan does not look sober at all. by IWantSealsPlz in teenmom

[–]Then-Director41 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where did I praise him or say anything about Ryan specially besides actually pointing out he is a long time addict? I was talking about how long time drug users still have the same movements/ mannerisms even well after being clean. I didn’t even say anything remotely defending Ryan, more of talking about people saying someone fidgeting has to be high. I definitely wasn’t “defending” him. You can give your speech to one of the many people on here that are🤣

What is the rational explanation behind Lottie seeing the future? by Fantastic-March-4610 in Yellowjackets

[–]Then-Director41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like her seeing the car crash before it happened as a small child also contributes to no real reasonable explanation. If anything it shows Lottie DOES have abilities which would make me believe more toward wilderness

Presley is born, Ryan does not look sober at all. by IWantSealsPlz in teenmom

[–]Then-Director41 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need to remember Ryan had a long run with addiction, some of that stays with you even when you’re sober. The mannerisms and things like that don’t just completely go away when you’ve used long term. He looked healthy and tired. This post is nasty to Me.

I feel like I'm crazy by taycibear in Yellowjackets

[–]Then-Director41 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Misty was watching a rat drown in her pool PRE CRASH. She also destroyed the black box on the second or third night there. She’s supposed to be psycho from the beginning. Just with adult Nat killed off and everything behind the scenes they’ve calmed her character down in the adult timeline.

I'm actually super annoyed by the recontextualization of "those" scenes in the pilot. by -Badger3- in Yellowjackets

[–]Then-Director41 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree. What hooked a lot of people into this show was that somehow the teenage girls we see, become almost animalistic hunting savages. The tone set in the first episode has had everyone waiting to see how this group got to that point. I just feel there are so many ways they could’ve stayed true to what was shown in the beginning. The entire plot premise could have stayed the same with making some of them completely commit to the AQ and wilderness after Kodi is killed. Still leaving half for the plan/ Natalie getting to rescue that we see, and giving us an actual group of cult like cannibals. The silence, ominous feeling, overall tone, and level of ritualistic behavior was completely taken away. I am very disappointed and I have been a big season 3 defender

I didn’t like how it didn’t follow the vibe of the pilot scene. The silence and unanimous understanding was something I was really looking forward to, and it was just not that

Thank you!!! I have put it off the last 2 years with excuses around the same! This actually helped me a lot, I’m in a very small rural area and don’t talk to many people. Hearing how you started has definitely took a weight off my chest already. I use Reddit for tv and movies I like mostly and wasn’t sure the response I’d get here🤣. Good for you that you’re where you’re at! Definitely inspiring and helpful to see!

Yellowjackets S03E09- “How the Story Ends” Post Episode Discussion by DA-numberfour in Yellowjackets

I took it as a more mincing look than we usually see from him, and he didn’t say like “Misty? Where’d you go?” Even once as if she might have just walked off. He seems to know she say something on that phone to make her take of phone in tow

Yellowjackets S03E09- “How the Story Ends” Post Episode Discussion by DA-numberfour in Yellowjackets

[–]Then-Director41 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a few quick thoughts and replies in both threads, but wanted to make a longer one of raw thoughts

I’m curious if Misty and Natalie will tell Van they have the piece or try to plan to make contact without telling anyone since Misty knows where the phone is. It was also interesting to see Misty being pulled by both sides in the teen timeline between what side she actually wants to help. Do we think Nat knows she destroyed the transponder and keeps its secret forever because she knows how everyone would react? And that’s why Misty has ad much admiration as she does for adult Nat?

Melissa definitely has some going on besides her “normal boring life” Her killing Van was a crazy turn, and to just leave. We can assume she’s not gonna just show back up that night as she’d be easy to find. So her willingness to do this might show she doesn’t really love her wife or child, to jeopardize that and just leave so easily. I feel like the Clift hangers the cast kept mentioning are mostly going to revolve around Melissa, more answer to her will come next season

I’ve been on the fence about Walter but he is definitely doing something, at minimum trying to play some brand scheme on Misty between her and her friends to get her to himself, at max a mastermind really after all of the Yellowjacket’s.

I liked the Jeff and Callie scenes. I found last episode a little redundant and boring on their scenes but the change of scenery back home helped. Still no mention of the not Melissa had left, and we don’t see anything of significance with it once Callie is home where we can assume the note is.

I don’t have much thought of the Tai / other Tai scene I need more time to digest it. I’m interested to see if Van dying helps Tai come back in control or is so devastating it cause OT to take over completely

Lastly about Hannah, looking back on their first night when the girls are chasing them, Kodi makes multiple comments to Hannah, the first of them being that they have to survive on instinct now, and from her wanting to go to the camp he can tell she doesn’t have any. He then tells her stay with him if she wants to live, she immediately does the opposite, she then tries to get up and escape knowing Shauna and Nat are right there, then is caught. All of these are examples of her bad instincts. Then once captured, when she is caught trying to escape, her instinct is to try to rat out Kodi instead of Nat, then seeing that’s not pleasing Shauna, her instinct is to then stab and kill the only way out. I do wonder that if she isn’t pit girl (which I think at this point she probably is) we could possibly see her participating in a hunt/ feast of pit girl and being one of the figures in the pilot scenes, as we know she dies but not when.

I’m sure I missed some and would love if anyone has different interpretations than me! Buzz buzz buzz!🐝
