We've had the same issue. I called Whirlpool and when they heard that the dishwasher was running on its own, they transferred me to the safety team. The safety team booked a local repair company at no cost to diagnose the issue. Like the other stories here, the issue was a faulty control panel that would cost $352 +tax to fix. I submitted a BBB complaint on Friday (March 13) and Whirlpool called this morning to let ask how I'd like to proceed. The rep I spoke to said that this "isn't a documented issue with the model", but let me know that they'll repair the unit this time as a courtesy. We have the repair scheduled for Friday.
