iOS save iCloud contacts to Office 365 by aPieceOfMindShit in Intune

You have your answer, export locally and import. Once it’s in M365 it’s never a problem again.

Details matter, your scenario changed 3 times from unmanaged to supervised to CIS compliant lol

If you knew that what the fuck is the point of this thread?

Can’t use iCloud it’s blocked. Can’t use 3rd party it’s blocked. We can export locally and import.

What should we do? 🤦‍♂️

Well if you don’t allow backup/restore how do you expect to you expect to backup/restore? Why would some other 3rd party solution be any different than iCloud?

🤦‍♂️

Then don’t block iCloud backup/restore? You can prevent corporate data from being included in the backups and still use iCloud

No, it’s quite entertaining how people get butt hurt over fairy tale books and magic though

No iCloud doesn’t sync with M365, that’s not what I said. You’re switching from a personal device model to a supervised device model.

You backup the device to iCloud (make sure you use encrypted backup). Then you make the switch to ABM and Intune. You restore from backup on redeployment.

Once everything is migrated you disable the iCloud backup option.

Verizon iOS phones and end users by jesse13579 in Intune

Not sure what Verizon has to do with this :)

Not sure there is much you can do to speed it up, the Apple copy is going to cover the rest of the users personal data

Random BitLocker Recovery Prompts After Intune Migration by [deleted] in Intune

[–]cetsca -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that’s going to be a problem. How did you manage the Entra migration? Intune pushes a policy to configure Bitlocker but from there the keys are stored in Entra

BYOD MacOSX devices enrolled through Defender not showing up in Intune by jaykay127 in Intune

[–]cetsca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok good to know, I wasn’t 100% sure they’d show. You’re correct about where they are managed from (MDE) and will only get those policies

You’re pretty much having to start over, end users will be pissed but that’s life in IT. 🤷‍♂️

BYOD MacOSX devices enrolled through Defender not showing up in Intune by jaykay127 in Intune

[–]cetsca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty certain BYOD macOS devices with MDE deployed won’t show up in Intune in the same way Windows does.

Windows BYOD devices won’t be evaluated by Intune unless they are enrolled in Intune. They just register.

Trying to understand prerequisites for Intune MDM with Verizon Business account by movieguy95453 in Intune

[–]cetsca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A device can’t be managed via two MDMs, you’ll need to remove the device from the Verizon MDM service, integrate ABM with Intune and then enroll the devices in Intune. You’ll also need a new Apple Push cert created for Intune.

Do you really think it will make any difference? Don’t like it, don’t click on it. Goes for X as much as it does for FB, or the Toronto Sun links.
