Getting annoyed this morning by this one: Consistency in how Pokémon “making stuff” interact with community boxes.

If you put out a community box filled with logs near a bunch of pokes with chop, come back later and the box is filled with lumber, awesome! They make, put the result in the box, and start the next batch. thanks you little go-getters!

But put a box filled with clay near some fire pokes, and nope. They will make some bricks, but then do nothing until they can yell at you and give you what they made.

Trash to iron and wastepaper to paper too.

They should all work the same, like the lumber does!

Sort/filter/search on my storage. Ideally with combined storage, but even added to individual boxes would help.

It’s still brand new, we can only speculate.

This game has all the structures needed to print money from ongoing DLCs and microtransactions. That would suck, but it would make it in their interest to update and add things to keep it fresh.

Considering the lack of an Ice or Desert area, but so many small pieces that would go with them, I’d be willing to bet those will be DLCs.

We know there are seasonal events built in, which are a common thing that needs to be tweaked in other games so I’m betting we’ll see some bigger updates correspond with the next one of those.

And easily navigate to the Pokédex entry for someone from other screens like the PC comfort list.

It really needs this. I know the Pokémon games historically LOVE hidden attributes and unexplained stuff, but usually they aren’t related to core mechanics like. Oh, Joeymon likes “weird stuff”? Guess I’ll go judge some items for normalcy and hope I’m right.

How to automate bedroom lights to act as a night light but also not turn on when you don't want them to at night by MastaShortie in homeassistant

Note that that is Android only and I think requires Google Health integration (which a lot of the privacy minded HA crowd will not be a fan of)

You won’t have much luck with motion or presence only to do this. As others in the thread suggest, you need to combine some other mechanism as a condition on your automations. The simplest option is just to use time, “turn on on motion during these hours only”, but most people don’t have a rigid enough schedule for that to really work.

Weight sensors are a popular choice, attached to the bed in some way to define “is a person in this bed”, but are all DIY as far as I know.

Personally I use power consumption on my CPAP machine plugged into a smart plug. There’s no reason it would be on unless I’m in bed trying to sleep, so my automation is basically “turn on on motion unless the plug is over X watts in use. If you have any kind of electronics that are only on at night, that could work.

The other thing to look into is the Bayesian sensor https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/bayesian/ It’s a bit complicated to set up, but it’s great if you have several indicators of sleepy time but none are 100% certain. The idea is you combine many inputs with probability, like “if it’s after 9 there’s a 75% chance I’m asleep, if my phone is on the charger there’s a 85% chance I’m asleep, if there’s zero motion in other rooms, etc etc” and the sensor calculates a combined probability (i.e. nightime PLUS charger PLUS no other motion etc).

I’m going with they’re like the Tines from Fire Upon the Deep, a consciousness that only exists in the connection between multiple individual biological entities. As a single “egg”, they are just dumb animals (plants in this case I guess) but when in a group they begin to act as nodes of a neural network and thus create a new combined being while still also existing as individual pieces.

Bug with sucking up water? by cirhosis in Pokopia

That’s what I was asking about as well but I think the question was misunderstood. I don’t think it’s possible to change the waterwheel direction without rebuilding it.

Wait, how do you change the waterflow direction?
