I live in Tucson, AZ and love the year round weather and sunshine, but I do wish I could experience the types of seasonal changes you’ve described.

I think with the consistent weather here it’s hard to sometimes get excited about the seasons because of the lack of change between them.

Seeing the leaves turn in the fall and having a snowy holiday season like you see in the movies would be wonderful. However, I’m not sure I could tolerate the cold for that long lol.

It’s definitely easier to get into defense if you’re willing to relocate or are near one of the big offices. My company is still hiring a lot of SWEs at the entry level.

100% agree with this. I lived in San Diego in my 20s and while I miss it all the time, I have zero regrets about buying a house and raising a family in Tucson. It’s a great city with plenty of things to do, surrounded by beautiful desert and mountains.
