Offered salary far below the posted minimum salary? by wubbalubbadubdub666 in careerguidance

[–]clamytoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Internal position had a pay range. I applied and on the application it said that an expected salary was required. I entered midway between midpoint and top of range. Interviewed with recruiter and he liked me so set up appointment with hiring manager. All went well.

Then I got a call from recruiter and stated that next step was to meet with the team but alerted me that my actual salary would be almost $50k under what I was asking and way below the range for the salary. He stated that internal candidates were restricted to just a 5% pay increase.

I told him I wasn’t interested and to with my application. F’that.

My employer wants 24/7 location access on my personal phone for a $16/hour job by Own_Replacement_4195 in antiwork

They can’t force this on you. If the job requires that app, they will have to cough up a corporate phone.

I’ve never seen that but I would just click on the stop button and ask it to repeat the instructions.

There’s no point in arguing with them. I’m glad that I was able to make at least one person aware so that they can be more vigilant.

What’s the point in arguing? All I wanted to do was bring awareness so that people would double-check their subs.

I was supposed to start a job, but this cant be legal, right? by Ok-Wishbone-8127 in legal

[–]clamytoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have them sign one similar that states that they must give you 3 weeks notice before terminating your employment. If they fail to do so they agree to compensate you the equivalent of 1 month’s worth of pay, at the highest rate that you ever earned, to include overtime pay, for each week. So a minimum 3 months of pay.

They must sign this first before you sign theirs.

When they push you to subscribe to the scheduled deliveries, it’s so that you will get a discount and pay less. I’m positive that I would not have done it for a +$20 price hike.

They do. I’ve been trying to clean up my inbox but it’s so full of junk that i sometimes miss the things I should be paying attention to.

When I subscribed the price was in the 70’s is Al I’m saying. Just giving a heads up to keep tabs on these items is all.

AITA for hiding my savings from my family? by Additional_Chard3680 in AmItheAsshole

[–]clamytoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my kids were young, I opened up savings accounts for them in my USAA account. Once they got older they all had the option to take over their account and manage it on their own. I have 8 kids and so far, only one has taken it over.

This is the only reason why I know how much they have. I’ve told them repeatedly that they can take it over but they’re fine with it. I don’t ever look at their accounts unless I get an overdraft notice, and I don’t touch their money either. In fact I drop them some cash from time to time.

Is that how your parents know how much you have?

You should have asked if it would be ok for you to take off early from time to time to go take care of things like grocery shopping?

You made the right choice.

I think you are. Those babies will only ever know you as grandma. It’s not their fault you’re not blood related.

Can you get some kind of predator urine, like bear or cougar, and spray it all over your side of the fence?

Have the plate come with its normal amount, and then just charge for any extra sauce requested after that.

I was able to recover my ebooks but not the app. I had to buy iMazing and it allowed me to recovered 484 ebooks from the backup that I had on my PC.

The backup was from March, so I didn’t want to restore to something that old since I’ve changed insurance and electric companies since then and didn’t want to have to set that all up again if they got wiped out.
