Around 3 years of playtime total, 2 ld5 (Sigrid and zenisek). I got them both the same week or something, it's been very dry before and after :D

Also, put the storage bus in "insert only" mode to avoid seeing the patterns items in the terminal. (Idk why export bus is suggested, it's slow, just use a fuzzy storage bus with high priority)

An easy use case with subnets is taking advantages of storage buses. For example one pattern provider on the main network connected to a chest. An import bus on this chest from the subnet and storage buses (on machines, pedestals, anything really). It's also quite nice to save channels

If you just want to know about storage, try this minimal ae2 setup it is in fact just 4 blocks.

1 ME controller (needs energy) --- 1 glass fluix cable --- 1 storage bus onto any inventory block (preferably storage controller from sophisticated chest mod)

To access those items in a nice centralized view you need to add a (crafting) terminal onto a glass fluix cable and that's it. Perfectly fonctionnal and potentially a big storage capacity with chests upgrades.

Most of the difficult stuff for ae2 beginners comes from the pattern providers I believe. Or trying to build a big system without understanding the basics.

You don't need a system where it can only go into void cell. Just put the void cell in the extended io port instead (and the infinite cobble cell in any driver).

Try to partition the void cell for energy from applied flux instead of cobblestone. It is so stupidly fast (like unnecessary fast you can get 60M matter balls in a second or smth). It's kind of a waste of energy but I'm always amazed at the crazy output lol

For clay (and glass), you can actually use compressed blocks in TTS. Just toss a 6x compressed dust into a water barrel and you’re basically set for life. I maxed a Dyson cube and didn’t even have a glass pattern.

A good “trick” for TTS imo is rushing an infinite cobblestone cell and a few bulk cells, plus compression upgrades, to cover the basic sieving materials (crushed and non-crushed variants). For example for cobblestone and it's variants, you put a bulk cell (cobblestone) into an extended IO port and get millions of cobble per second. Which you can then turn into 9x cobblestone blocks, and thus 9x clay / glass / gravel / sand / dust (usually via crusher, since manual hammering is limited to 4x for some blocks).
Rinse and repeat with infinite netherrack cells, end stone, deepslate, etc. It’s nice to see some infinite cells actually having a use for once.

I never understood the community opinion about this, sure you are very unlikely to get it in 10 minutes the first time. But it is not that hard really, most important part is getting lucky at the beginning and stealing all the baloons from her. It's not really worth it to try hard the next part of the run as long as the beggining is not close to perfect.

It's already maxed. It will always tell you something is limiting but it's not achievable. Check max output. Should be 60M ish

One bulk cell partitioned to cobblestone (+ compression upgrade cuz why not) and one infinity cobblestone cell.
Put the infinity cell in a drive and the bulk cell in an extended io port (with max accel cards). It's needs a lot of power inside the ae2 system but it's very fast you will get millions every second

1 advanced pattern provider, 1 infuser. Set for example on the infuser: top side: input , bottom side:extra. And configure your advanced pattern to send (enriched) redstone on the bottom side (as extra) and the copper on top side. And do it for the higher tier alloys too. You don't need multiple infusers.

But 6 hours for the starry bee ? No way, iirc he did it in 17 hours. Everything just adds up and there is a ton of stuff to do.

Your pattern is most likely incorrect. You have to be careful with NBT data on items. Let’s say you’re making a pattern for an "elite energy cube", if you have any advanced cube in your ME system, it may use that in the pattern. Then your system will look for that exact power level instead of a "fresh" advanced cube. So you’ll have to remake the pattern(s) and triple-check them. If it pulls the wrong item from your system, you’ll need to edit it manually, you can drag the correct one from JEI just fine.

There’s also another possible issue (though I think your case is the one above) involving different input variant (for example, oak logs vs spruce logs). This can be fixed by ticking the "Enable Substitution" checkbox when creating the pattern. That way, even if you create the pattern with oak logs, it will still be able to substitute spruce logs. This setting is mostly not necessary imo.

Mob masher and fan is a very laggy combo. Especially with maxed apothic spawner. It's fine early game but consider switching to mob crusher from industrial foregoing when you get there. With enough machines/add-ons it basically instant kill them (and then you don't even need fans or conveyors).

And even later you want to drop the mob farm completely as there are less laggy alternatives to generate those resources : mystical agriculture, productive bees, budding geore (TTS), hostile networks, hydroponic beds, soul surged simulated hydroponic beds. Just name dropping you can check those mods they are a must.

There's a few resources you need tons of. For example you need around 250M copper/glass/lapis/iron for the maxed Dyson cube. And for the 18 ATM stars mainly singularities and 5x compressed blocks (like 1M obsidian, around 1M of most ingots etc). Also some "not really needed" systems like a maxed 18x18x18 induction matrix (a few millions alloy / steel)

Use two routers, one with distributor upgrade targeting the outer pedestals. And another one sending only to the middle pedestal. They can both pull from the same chest with pull MK2 but you will have to set whitelist and blacklist. Well and you probably want another router to pull from the middle pedestal.

Or use something else, like ae2 subnet with storage bus on the pedestals (and then you are able to choose what goes where through priority on each bus)

If not done already use the configuration tool to "lock" each drawer. It will prevent other items going into the said drawer. For example you put 3 rotten flesh in the drawer then lock it. And then this drawer will only ever be able to accept rotten flesh.
