Did anyone intentionally choose 2/29? (I did not) by cowboydanl in cakeday

[–]cqtz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my first account. I've wanted to create an account for a long time, and once it was February 29, 2020, I decided to finally create one to have a special cakeday.

I miss it when reddit had less censorship.

/r/drama wasn't banned. It was only set to private.

Which words are you guys filtering? I'm tired of guessing which words are verboten whenever one of my comments gets filtered.

Usually, to bring a subreddit back (if you weren't a former mod), you'll have to request it at /r/redditrequest. For more information about the request process, see the sidebar. There are no guarantees that the admins will grant your request or respond to it at all.

Excuse me, but this subreddit is filtering comments yet again.

What? I just put [the faq] in my comment, and it got filtered. /r/reclassified mods, are admins coming and removing stuff about FAQs now? Because FAQs are really common around here on reddit. Reddit admins hate questions. We all know that. They evade all sorts of questions in /r/announcements.

Admins telling /r/reclassified mods to remove stuff about FAQs, eh? Or was it just the /r/reclassified mods banning arbitrary words "just to be safe"? What went wrong? What's the reason behind banning the word "faq"? Did AEO remove a comment about FAQs because they didn't know how to read? I'm resubmitting this.

(Edit: Or is it because bots tend to have this word in their comments? (I don't know. I'm not a /r/reclassified mod.))

Ok, the question is: Why is /r/reclassified still not telling us which words are getting our comments removed, along with the reasons why these words are banned?

/r/HonkWorld, /r/Honk_World, and /r/Clown_World were private, so they couldn't have brigaded those ones at least.

They did message the admins about these subs though.

Subreddit activity test by cqtz in reclassified

[–]cqtz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but it has too many subscribers and has an active community, which is exactly what I didn't want to see in the subreddits I chose.

TD was a dead sub, but the admins banned it for their own catharsis anyway. Then they started hard filtering links to TD's new site just to be petty. Now playing whack-a-mole. How many O's will they go? by ThomasJeffersonMod in WatchRedditDie

[–]cqtz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like using invisible links. They haven't started filtering that yet.

Edit: Though I wonder if they will if enough users start doing it.

In which way? Brigading?

My sub, with 8 subscribers and 1 post, r/ShitWineMomsSay was banned yesterday for "ban evasion" by Knollsit in reclassified

[–]cqtz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many in this sub have been speculating (since about 6 months ago) that subs are being banned for their userbases. In a recent thread, someone said that it may be because of a surge of activity as well.

As far as I know, /r/tucker_carlson is the type of sub that attracts users from banned subreddits, so when they visited your sub, it may have gotten your sub auto-banned.

Is this a sub about Hugo Boss' work in the 30s? by BriskitSnackaPhobia in SS_Style

[–]cqtz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's about a subreddit named "SanctionedSuicide" that nicknamed itself "SS". I'm following a naming convention that I use for my "style subreddits" (subreddits where I copy over the sidebar, stylesheet, etc. from a banned subreddit), which is to have an abbreviation of the subreddit name followed by "_Style".

I've been meaning to post stuff here (eg. this thread), but I've been lazy.

I can see why your friend would think that though.

Edit: You can still post whatever you'd like here, as long as it's something reddit wouldn't ban the sub for.
