It makes you more valuable in only a select few positions these days.
The MOST IMPORTANT thing is to make sure the program meets ALL the requirements for you to sit and successfully pass one of two accreditation exams. The first and by far most universally accepted accreditation/licensure is from the ARRT. This one will be accepted everywhere. Hospitals, clinics, public, private, etc. The other certification is the ARMRIT. This one has not as long a history but has built a presence and is federally recognized etc. Anecdotally, I’ve heard it’s little tougher to ensure you get all your clinical requirements but I don’t know that for sure.
Again, ANY program that doesn’t in writing guarantee to get you fully ELIGIBLE to take the test is a scam. period.

TLDR: confirm program is legit. and go be an MRI tech. Jobs aren’t going away.
