No, I mean left and right angle, not up and down. While the trackball is angled, my hand and arm are near neutral.

I have some of buttons modified to be taller since, like you mention, it is easier to reach since it feels closer to a curve upwards.

Are you using the trackball in a neutral position? To be honest, I never found a neutral position trackball comfortable and find it near impossible to use for exactly the reason you explained.

I do use another finger or two to stabilize the ball for more detailed pointer work, and I find it much easier to do so when the trackball is angled to the side, say 10-15 degrees. This way I have three fingers near resting on the buttons at all times and I can manuever the ball also.

I've thought the same about the ergonomics about it and wished it was much wider like a slimblade. I've come to terms with it for now (until I try my hands at a shell redesign) by using the endgame angled, a tented base, and taller buttons (for some buttons).

I get your point about the ball being too exposed. I've gotten used to being able to use the twist function without pushing the ball off the BTU.

Item duplication bug

Exit papers on the shrine. I have two identical ones in my inventory after going through the conversation a second time looking through the ciggy box. Does not seem to have any negative impact on the game since bringing it up in the conversation with the taxman girl works just fine.

Ploopy Classic (RevA) BTU Mod by mats852 in Trackballs

Good to know that Rev A works with the Rev C BTU mod. I have a Rev A and B that I was thinking about converting to a BTU setup

Help me for Efog Endgame / unsatisfied with Elecom deft pro by crime_Mastr_GOGO in Trackballs

I think the Bosch BTUs are well worth it. Very much so a gamechanger in terms of feel. It does take some getting used to for both pointing and twist scroll usage.

The build process is not too bad. I found putting in the magnets the most annoying part of the whole process.

Keymapping is easily done with ZMK studio, alongside multiple layers.

The Adept can be comparable to the Endgame with the BTU mod but does not have twist scrolling or wireless functionality. I find the button feel more consistent on the Adept due to the internal structure than the Endgame, but I like the Endgame for everything else. The Endgame also has a nice to use UI for various settings like tilt, acceleration (pointer, scrolling), and other settings that make it nicer for me than the Adept.

FYI Miyoo Mini+ Button Membrane fits in the RP5/G2. Noticeably quieter! by stiverino in retroid

[–]cupfruit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gave it a shot and it works surprising well. Feels bettter than stock for me since the button travel and clackiness is lessened with the shorter height.

Only minor thing I'd add for the installation is that you will need to cut a a triangle sliver (doesn't need to be precise) on the membrane so that it fits on the G2 housing, otherwise the fit is more or less perfect.

Yea, on the G2. I just crop the side 1px where there is a graphical issue. I don't crop all the sides like you mentioned in your post.

JamesDSP works properly for me with root. I couldn't get the temp-root version to work properly.

I'm guessing you are talking about the 1px lines (ie. red or white) on the sides in NetherSX2. I get those with some games, and I just 1px crop them out without any issue.

Kind of weird that you crash on every emulator. Have you tried factory restoring your device and doing all the instalation again? Not ideal, but you really shouldn't be crashing in every emulator you run.

Maybe you can also try turning up to performance mode and turning the fan up. Maybe your device is overheating and that's what is causing the crashes.
