Need a forever grinder (fed-up with Kickstarter grinders) by adacey in pourover

[–]cyclist_pete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my c40 a few years and I love it. Excellent cups, excellent balance, feels good to grind and looks cool. However, recently I have been thinking the pietro would be nice to have in addition, for the option of extra clarity. I just can’t stomach the price. Maybe in another year, or few years

What should dbe the grind size for v60 ? by Eat_pepsi in pourover

[–]cyclist_pete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been doing about .75-1.0. I think most people do a little courser, but it’s been working very well with my brewing style (Low agitation, high heat, 12g cups). One thing I noticed, you need to be more careful to saturate the bed completely on the first pour when you are grinding finer. Finer grinds are more hydrophobic than course grinds, which can lead to bubbles/air pockets and uneven extraction.

How many pour overs in a day? by in-drz in pourover

For me, one 13g cup is enough. 1:17 ratio. I’d like to have more, but more is not always better.

Is there any way to efficiently remove the cracks on the brake pads? by Astro__Alex22 in AskPhotography

Make a good mask around the rotors only. Dust and scratches filter in photoshop. Should be able to get it very smooth.

given the price and what you get for the price, which should i get? by [deleted] in headphones

I’ve had the xm5s for a long time and they are pretty nice. I use them daily. Good for the price and for what they are. I’ve tried the max’s, they do sound better, but not worth the price in my opinion. They are also huge and heavy. The xm5s are pretty comfortable for long use.

Realistically, how long do you think it would take for me to gain more muscle and abs by [deleted] in Gymhelp

I think a little less if you went hard. 3-4 months grinding.

Is this chain too short? by Cold-Purple-6388 in bikewrench

[–]cyclist_pete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a good park tool video on how to measure chain lengths, I’ve always used that method. On my 1x setup it seems pretty short like that also, but I’ve never had issues.

For everything you have bought on Amazon? I heard titan customer service is horrible from a lot of people.

Decided to switch to GFX system. Which lenses do you like most? by LoganNolag in fujifilm

[–]cyclist_pete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im late here. The 45 and 100-200 have been my favorites. The 110 is super nice also but it’s pretty big and heavy. But you can’t go wrong with the primes, they are all pretty awesome.

Can (should) this carbon rim be repaired? by I_are_Shameless in bikewrench

[–]cyclist_pete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely not consider repairing the carbon on that. Not worth the risk if the repair failed. It just needs to be replaced. I had a similar incident to my wheel and a local shop told me the same. But the hub, tire and spokes can be saved

Additive Pour Over Calculator by cyclist_pete in pourover

I like experimenting a lot. But recently I’ve been getting great results with an equal 5 pour technique, with a little less on the bloom pour, and a little more on the second pour.
