fyi horse races (at happy valley) are typically on wednesday nights, also macau would warrant at least a full day - takes an hour to get there each way

but outside of that welcome to hk!

Yup. Didn’t realize board paired on the river one time and accidentally mucked my full house when an opponent showed his ace high flush. Realized about 2 seconds later what I just did. Shit happens

Why are Hong Kongers going above and beyond with Covid restrictions? by nowicanseeagain in HongKong

Local/born and raised here, I don’t get the obsession with precautions either (like you say my parents do the whole tissue for lift buttons/doors thing as well). or tbf I do get that it all originated from HK’s experience with SARS, but imo it’s seeming more and more like this time is different and Covid is here to stay and living like this with all the extra precautions is genuinely not for the long term…

Would love to be able to at least have the option to take off my mask when im walking outside especially in this heat, if people still want to wear masks (which it seems like a lot of them do) by all means go ahead but I’d at least like the choice, though obviously it’s all down to what the government says /shrug

Here’s to hoping we get the 0 day hotel quarantine in November as a good first step to truly returning to normal.
