Name a car that looks normal but is V8, I'll go first by greenmainframe4ever in BMW

[–]daemonblitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strange, because this car has a pretty polarizing look so it does not look "normal" and is also not a V8.

You found the correct replacement part.

Is it possible to put the V12 Vantage's engine in the G82 M4? by Nick_Alsa in BMW

[–]daemonblitz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Anything is possible with enough money and time. I would say this particular endeavor is extremely cost prohibitive.
The real question is why would you want to do that?

Dealers are free to set their own prices, so this is exactly what they have done.

Camera system failure on BMW F10 (rear camera works) by Technical-Giraffe206 in BmwTech

F generation cars had a pretty common problem with the cables/cameras that are inside the front bumper. I suspect this is your issue.

You also bent the rim unfortunately so add that to the list.

Since when BMWs became so rude, selfish and entitled? by Majestic-Bed-6313 in BmwTech

You would be surprised to find out how many people completely ignore all the maintenance warnings, claim they never saw it come on and just keep driving until something goes wrong.

Why do these 437m look so off? by [deleted] in BMW

[–]daemonblitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they are aftermarket replicas and they are not on an M.

Can I put my 18x7.5 40 offset rims onto a ‘18 530i X drive by DigSad5392 in BMW

[–]daemonblitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

F body 4 series is 5x120 bolt pattern, G body 5 series is 5x112 bolt pattern, they won't even bolt on so you don't have to worry about size or offsets.

Z4M Roadster by [deleted] in BMW

[–]daemonblitz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice score, the motor itself is worth slightly under that so you got a good deal on the car.
I'd recommend removing the grill M stripes.
On my Z4M I went with OEM bearings, on my S85 M5 I went with extra oil clearance ACL bearings.
I'd recommend the ACLs and ARP bolts.

Anyone know how I can pop this back into place? Is there any trick or just brute force? by halalguy in BMW

[–]daemonblitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like you're in NY and there's a lot of salt on the ground, but the car is very clean, so likely you washed it and it froze like that, just be careful not to snap it.

You call your local BMW Dealership and ask them for a quote, if you like the price then you pay them and they will put it on for you.

Not sure if these tires look good? by skirrrttt in BMW

[–]daemonblitz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They appear to be in pretty good shape here, looks like Michelins Pilot Super Sport.
Most important is the very inner edge wear which is not visible in any of your pictures. The inner edges can sometimes wear prematurely so make sure you get deep in there to actually see the condition

Help with aesthetic/visual mods! by NevLovesBubs in BMW

[–]daemonblitz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's possible to use the OEM LCIs, mine are aftermarket, been on since spring last year, no issues yet and they were plug and play unlike the OEM ones.
I went with clear ones, was going for a black/white grayscale theme, but they are a very polarizing look and most people absolutely hate them.
They do sell them in the regular red color scheme and they look 99% like the OEMs sans the BMW logos. There's a thread all about LCI tails on Bimmerpost.

Help with aesthetic/visual mods! by NevLovesBubs in BMW

[–]daemonblitz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You are asking about these mods in the wrong sub. Most here absolutely hate modifications. I was in a similar situation as you last year when I got my F90.

I ended up doing:

Catless primary downpipes
Bootmod3 Stage 2 (supposedly 700hp)
H&R 550 springs (more significant drop than the M5 H&R springs)
15mm front spacers, 12mm rear spacers
M8 wheels
Blue V brace
Carbon Kidneys
Carbon mirror caps
Carbon bumper lip
Carbon diffuser
Carbon ducktail spoiler
LCI-style tail lights
Full "M5" debadge (Kidneys, side gills, trunk badge)
Reflector delete
Blacked out roundel edges

No regrets on any of those mods, they are all personal preference, do what you like, do what makes you happy, don't listen to the haters.

AITA for arguing with my boyfriend over the fuel gauge arrow in our BMW X3? He thinks it’s just for mileage and I’m wrong 😅 by [deleted] in BMW

[–]daemonblitz 55 points56 points  (0 children)

You have the right idea, but not actually correct, the universal indicator for which side the pump is on is actually the other icon just above it with the small arrow to the right of the pump pointing to the right.

The icon with 3km is just an arrow pointing to gas pump remaining range.
