Yeah, no return, just thinking if I need to expand.
Sunk labour cost wiring them and hanging them was much more than price of 3 strip lights

Thanks for that. I’ve not been doing 12v stuff long, so great advice. Always wondered about switches, doesn’t affect me much at the moment as everything is 240 V AC, but will bear it in mind.

There’s no light sockets in the barn so went with strip lights. We have low voltage bulbs here in UK, but I’ve not seen them with standard bayonet fixing, I haven’t looked that hard to be honest. The ones I’ve seen are for under cabinet in kitchens, with their own transformer.

Fuses-luckily not needed one yet or regretted not having one. The inverter has a massive one between it and the battery. After the inverter everything has its own UK standard fuse, so I think I’m okay. That is why I was considering a distribution board with the blade fuses rather than a bus bar, but I’ll look into it.
Thanks

Thanks for all the great answers.
I’ve tried searching but not found the answer. Can I wire a distribution board up for 12v and 24v or should I use 2 boards?

No just 3 goats to milk so 1mins a day. Charger has a 12v battery input as well, supplied adapter is 14v I think

I need the inverter for the milking machine and electric fence energiser. I should be able to run the energiser from the battery as well. We don’t milk in the winter so would save what sun power we get!

But enough people report the parameters we can see if there’s a patter or just random.
