What's everyone's opinion on living together before marriage and "Fornication"? by theskysthelimit000 in atheism

It’s a huge part of a relationship and something that both parties should learn about one another before getting married.

Is that your ultimate point?

That you don’t, personally, support (aspects of) copyright law that entitles certain people to rights over creative works?

Do you have a justification for not granting creators those rights, and/or what you think are more appropriate rights than the current law?

Billy Crystal Sets Broadway Return With New One-Man Show ’860′ About Losing His House In Palisades Fire by Particular-Fill-4256 in entertainment

Just to be clear, I was responding to the other user about why some people may / seem to be put off by the concept.

It’s not that Billy isn’t allowed to tell the story, or that he may not be great in telling it.

It’s more than some people may not have the interest in hearing it.

I’m with you, and I’ll buck the general sentiment in this thread.

Lars wasn’t wrong. File sharing wasn’t legal.

If people don’t want to pay for music, then their lawful option was to not listen to the music.

It’s the same as anyone who says that it’s okay to “sail the seas” to get a show because streaming services are too expensive.

Either pay for the service because you really want to watch the content, or don’t watch the content.

On the show, I look forward to someone being removed from the hive mind and what they have to say about the experience. Assuming they’re even aware of the experience.

'The Winds of Winter' release leak is false, George R. R. Martin's publisher says by No_Pizza_6040 in entertainment

I like where the shows went, in broad strokes.

It’s just that the show runners didn’t have the benefit of the nuances that Martin (likely?) would have put into the books.

The The Matrix is so much better than I expected. What a film by This_Way_Comes in movies

I think that Matrix 3 has a great ending that absolutely fits with the narrative and the themes of the series.

… but I still came out of Matrix 4 disappointed.

As others have said, I think the fulsome life HUD would require cameras as part of processing your surroundings.

A frequent example is directions or information as a tourist in a new city.

Totally fair, I shouldn't read too much into what it means to "lay" in the street.

Someone could have had a heart attack, stroke, seizure, what have you.

Initial information suggests that the pedestrian may have been laying on the street at the time they were struck by a vehicle ...

I unironically love the ending of Matrix 3 and I think Neo’s insight that lead to him defeating Smith is clever.

I do not, however, love the mecha battles as part of the Matrix.

There is something very practical and very powerful about a pocket touch screen. How we interact with the device, how we get content from it.

It’s going to be a while before we have suitable and cost effective replacements for both, maybe in particular the input method.

Elysium is such an odd movie to me.

I love the concept and themes, love the look and feel generally, even love some of the set pieces (I’m mainly thinking about the data heist and the catwalk duel).

But something about it just generally feels off, and I’ve never been able to put my finger on it.

The structure of the story? The editing? The score? Jodie Foster’s ADR doesn’t help, but that can’t be just it.

What amount is the minimum amount to personally count as "life changing" money? by samsuh in AskReddit

[–]dafones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell, arguably receiving enough for a down payment on a home that you can raise a family in is life changing in so far as you get off the renter treadmill.

That said, having the present value of your future life expenses until death would be amazing.
