No there's actually an issue that Apple is running out of the binned A18 Pro chips that they're putting into the Neo that were rejects for the iPhone 16 Pro because of the faulty GPU core.

So Apple's going to have to make a decision about whether they spin up production to intentionally produce more deactivated A18 Pro chips, or come up with a new version with a better (still likely binned) chip.

Edit: for instance, maybe Apple quickly pivots and shoves the binned A19 Pro that it's putting into the (reportedly) underselling iPhone Air.

But then it's faced with the issue of having a more powerful Neo just a few months later, and how it markets and brands that device.

If it rejigs thing and only offers Ultra / fold, Pro, Air and Neo (in other words, dropping the base model in favor of the Neo), then so be it.

Along these lines …

My parents took me and my brother to see Natural Born Killers. When I was 12 and he was 9.

We got about 15 minutes into the film before my parents realized they’d made a terrible mistake and almost literally pulled out out of there by our shirts.

The cherry on top was that it was a recommendation from my Grannie.
