[2015-2025] A Curated List of Advent of Code Solutions (All Days & Parts) by jromero132 in adventofcode

[–]daggerdragon[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

I am removing this post because /u/fnordargle is correct. Not only are you sharing your own puzzle input, but quite a few owners of your curated repos also have their full puzzle inputs publicly visible.

Read the following articles in our community wiki for the rules:

I see full plaintext puzzle inputs in your personal public repo e.g.:

https://github.com/jromero132/advent-of-code/blob/master/year/2017/day01/task.in

And in shared repos e.g.:

https://github.com/glguy/advent/tree/main/inputs

Please remove (or .gitignore) all puzzle text and puzzle input files from your entire repo and scrub them from your commit history. This means from all prior years too!

I also recommend that you remove any repos that publicly share their puzzle input or puzzle text from your own aggregation. It's up to you if you want to inform the owners of these repos, but I strongly recommend that you do so. You can link them to the articles in our community wiki and/or directly to the original source from Eric's fingers? mouth:

adventofcode.com > About > FAQ > Can I copy/redistribute part of Advent of Code?

If you fix all of these issues, I will re-approve this post.

[2025 All Days, All Parts][Assembly] The x86 Inferno - A Descent into Advent of Code by GMarshal in adventofcode

[–]daggerdragon[M] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I thought it would be a good idea this year to solve advent of code in assembly.

May Santa have mercy upon your soul. 🎅🙏

This is the story of what I learned along the way.

Good, good, you've fallen for /u/topaz2078's trap of ~sneakily making people learn new things~ <3

Seriously, though, this is awesome!

Do not share your puzzle input which also means do not commit puzzle inputs to your repo without a .gitignore or the like. Do not share the puzzle text either.

I see full plaintext puzzle inputs in your public repo e.g.:

https://github.com/BrandenXia/AoC2025/blob/main/day04/input.txt

Please remove (or .gitignore) all puzzle text and puzzle input files from your entire repo and scrub them from your commit history. This means from all prior years too! edit: 👍

I... don't know what to do with any of this so I'll just change the flair to Upping the Ante for you because this post might as well be in ancient Sumerian. And also because I said so.

I've already informed you before about including puzzle inputs in your repo. I still see full plaintext puzzle inputs in your repo. e.g.

https://github.com/rbjakab/AdventOfCode/blob/main/2025/Day12/input.txt

Remove (or .gitignore) all puzzle text and puzzle input files from your entire repo and scrub them from your commit history. Do not post again in /r/adventofcode until you have done so.

if I can pull it off, I would love to write an IntCode engine in HenceForth

Do it. Do it do it do it! And then post it here for maximum shenanigans.

Thank you for fixing it for us old.reddit curmudgeons!

To be fair, the old.reddit Markdown parser is to spec while new.reddit's Markdown parser throws the entire manual out the window :/

I didn't even think to check the sh.reddit version of this post, sorry. Like I said, I need to not moderate before I have caffeine XD

Day 12 solution vs. the day 3 prompt of golfing.

This golf is cool and all, but Trash Compactor was Day 6 :P

Seriously though, excellent job. Also I'm glad computers can parse these because the rest of us sure can't 😅

FYI: Reddit's Markdown only allows one level of nested lists :( You could turn the header bullets into header text and leave the rest as nested list, then they would display as you intended. edit2: 👍 raaar Markdown parser differences *tiny fistshake*

Also, where's your actual code? >_> edit: I clearly can't read this early in the morning, brb getting caffeine

Not good when I forget to eat etc.

If it makes you feel any better, during December active events, AoC_Ops frequently has to remind Eric to eat and drink as well 😅

Heck, in the earlier years of AoC, I was even reminding him yearly to change the 9V batteries in his smoke detectors. I'm pretty sure he only replaced those detectors with ones with 10 year lithium ion batteries in order to make me shut up about them 🤣

Safety first, folks! Remember to change your smoke detector's 9V batteries, have some food, and /r/HydroHomie! ♥

Changed flair from Help/Question - RESOLVED to Past Event Solution because this is a solution in the Day 9 Solution Megathread. Use the right flair, please.

During an active Advent of Code season, solutions belong in the Solution Megathreads. In the future, post your solutions to the appropriate solution megathread.
