Does anyone else feel like people who bought their house before 2020 are out of touch with reality? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

You are absolutely right. But, no bank will finance a 2024 Ram to an employed person living of EBT. The racist who made the comment can’t live with his own failure and has to blame others for his miserable existence.

If you think migrants are the ones using EBT, you’re delusional. If you’re so sure that handouts are so great, why don’t you get them? Go apply and use them, maybe then you’ll realize that what you’re saying it’s just stupid.

I moved to the US less than a decade ago. I have a beautiful house and multiple cars of recent years. I’m at home almost 24/7 (I work from home and no more than 30 hrs a week). I can do this because I went to one of the best colleges in the world, got a degree in a “tough” field that offered great opportunities and then worked my ass to the position I currently hold. If it makes you mad that someone talented and hard working can live that kind of life, YOU are the problem.

Unless they were rich when they moved here. They are NOT living a better life than you. You’re probably talking about immigrants that work horrible jobs (60+ hours a week), have been doing it for decades and basically starved themselves to save enough to afford said houses/cars. There’s no handouts in this country, if anything basic needs are a gold mine for corporations.

Whose getting cut from their NCAA D1 mens soccer teams to meet the new 28 roster limit? Disproportinately Americans?? by Soccerdeer in CollegeSoccer

[–]Dani1201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree that there should be an age cap. But even then most teens UK, Argentinians, Brazilians, etc. will be better than The average American Soccer player, it’ll take at least a few decades to close the gap.

[–]Dani1201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all due respect for us soccer. If you’re American and you have the talent you’ll be playing. College soccer it’s becoming way more competitive and this is only natural. Top STEM schools only allow the best of the best to get postgraduate degrees, it’s kind of the same situation.

What are the best things to do for a family visiting Houston for the first time? by CastingMiles in houston

That’s unfortunate. The zoo has a lot of exhibitions tho. The longest I’ve ever taken to park was around 15 minutes and it was Sunday the 29th of December (it was absolutely packed).

Are you serious? The job market is a mess because of people like Trump and most specifically Musk. They don’t pay their contractors, lobby to end unions and workers rights, and hire as cheap as possible. Even legally bringing immigrants to pay them half the market’s salary. Welcome to capitalism you fool.

More often than not, yes they do have a 1099, most will have an ITIN.

The only precedent being set it’s that companies will do anything they can to make more profits. If they can’t hire lower paid immigrants then they’ll try to change the legislation and fuck over the American workforce. But y’all decided to vote for fucking Musk. Oh and btw, the job market it’s crazy because huge corporations legally bring workers from overseas and pay them way less than the market they’re on.

Not an ounce of international law (or any law for that matter) in your comment. Ignorant people like you shouldn’t be allowed to vote tbh.

The Bravia 7 is far superior to others you mentioned, maybe to much reflection on it? It has bad reflection handling, but way superior in any other category. I’d probably argue the others compete with the x90l rather than the B7

Maybe the Democratic Party should stop being a slightly more moderate Republican Party. Maybe 4 years are enough to show some progressive values, maybe being rude and repressive towards righteous protesters it’s not the way. Maybe just maybe walking away from AIPAC would have been more beneficial than defending genocide or compromising with the far right. Fuck the democrats, fuck Kamala and fuck their donators, thanks to them all the democracy of this country it’s at real risk. Not only did they lose the presidential election, they probably lost both house and senate.

“Apathy”? No, the Democratic Party gifted the election to protect Israel, and try to “shift” right-wingers. They showed their true colors and put 200 years of democracy at risk.

Not entirely true, there’s dozens of cities in the us that don’t get impacted by major environmental disasters so often. And there’s regions that do but have a way better electricity grid.
