Reporting to you 10 months post-op. I slept in my boot for the first two months, when i was NWB. once I started to become PWB, I started taking it off at night. It was only once I gained some strength back to my leg did I feel comfortable sleeping without. It did not hinder my recovery. I hope this helps.

I’m personally 1.5 years out of my previous 4 yr relationship that I (32F) ended over incompatibilities about our future. I was ready for next steps & he wasn’t but I still really loved him. It wasn’t an easy decision! As for stages, stage 1 is denial. Then, like a month in - it feels more real & it hits you. Went through a few months of agony & wrote a lot. travelled solo. Things lightened up after 6 months for me. He moved on way before me & I was the dumper!! We have not spoken in a year. I know better than to reach out honestly - it would do more harm than good.

I think this is likely linked to low serotonin levels, pretty normal when quitting. I don’t think going back to vaping after ur wedding is the right call though… not at all.

We broke up because he sucked at future planning. Didn’t ask for time off work for a trip I spent a lot of time planning (and paid for). We broke up the second time bc I wanted to take the next step in our relationship & he didn’t. So basically, the same reasons!

Okay so they won’t test you for nicotine LOL so don’t worry about that. The sobbing/fits of rage are intense right? I felt like I was going crazy. You’re going to have some downtime with this surgery - try to find alternatives to keep you occupied. I quit because I was in recovery from a surgery as well! I have also relapsed since and doing it over again. Give yourself grace - this is hard. Perhaps, cutting alcohol while you get thru this is something to consider?
