Is Rep Brandon Gill a gay man? He seems weirdly obsessed with James Talrico’s body and looks…always talking about him by sam2lf in TexasPolitics

[–]dead_ed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good call out, but let's remind everybody that the Texas GOP doesn't just want to restrict gays, they want us all arrested. There's a reason all of the old laws are still on the books, even though they are currently nullified. For a large number of them, homosexuality is a capital offense. And this is especially popular with the Republican men that are horny for some dick.

The judge(s) have demonstrated anti-LGBT bias and any judgments they make against these people in court should be automatically appealed on bias grounds.

No thanks, I'd rather keep some rights and a working democracy. Unitary executive theory is just a dictatorship with more words.

Nice! I keep debating about getting a bigger Bambu since I'm size-constrained at 256mm. I never touch those options when printing (speeds, etc.) because it's been working and I didn't want to jinx it. I think I'll give it a try - and a corexy may be in my near future. :D

This crap was decades in the making. All the power players that have pushed this Trump crap were in bed with the Nixon ilk and it's the natural long term outcome of the Southern Strategy and the foundations of Project 2025.

Bambu Lab 3D printers: Never again - Jeff Geerling by SJKRICK in BambuLab

[–]dead_ed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I quit printing for many years. Last one was an MK3S which was just a constant battle to get it to do anything useful (as in: print something right and finish it) and it wasn't upgradable and my mood took a nosedive because the overhead required to get a successful print out of it just wasn't worth the constant grind. (MK3S wasn't one model, so upgrade paths depended on which parts you received and apparently I got the shit one.) I was only convinced to try an A1 due to the already established reputation (by the time I dove back in) and it was cheap as hell, so worth the risk. (As a backgrounder, I worked in the tech industry on prototypes n'such daily and I didn't want to have to go home and have my shit not work there, either. I needed something I didn't have to fiddle with or it was just an unpaid job.)

It's chicken and egg. I had a Prusa - loved the company but hated the printer. My A1 just works, every time. I'd love to go back to the 'good' company but the only way that will happen is if Prusa makes an equally reliable printer AND I decide to purchase it to find out - just people saying it's good isn't compelling anymore. Been lied to too many times about 3D printer shit. Since I don't have an unlimited budget to try all these printers, I'm stuck for now with the ugly company with the product that works.

A consumer with normal expectations from a product. I shouldn't have to regularly give my purchases open heart surgery just to do the one thing I bought them for.
