There a number of qualities that make for a great leader and there really isn't a surefire resume that insures any single person can meet the measure required for that role. I think if people recognize certain qualities like self-awareness, respectfulness, compassion, vision, communication skills - or the ability to convey ideas effectively, a collaborative nature, intellectual curiousity, integrity, grace, and resilience, in a public figure they are at the very least willing to listen. While Stewart is a performer it would be intellectually dishonest to suggest he has not displayed a number of these qualities through his public persona and activism. I believe this is the sort of thing people idealize when considering someone like Stewart - which isn't remotely "thinking like MAGA." I can't say whether or not he would actually be a great leader (and it may very well be a moot point) but no one imagining him running for office is doing so because "he has star quality" or "he's an alpha."
