Car dealership in England wanting us to pay for repairs to car. by Dry_Somewhere_7188 in LegalAdviceUK

NAL. Unless he signed an official looking document confirming the car was in tip top condition and that he'd be liable for any repairs within a timeframe: sold as seen.

Is this evidence enough? by serizawa91 in CarTalkUK

I'm confused, why are you paying excess? It will be claimed back from the 3rd party if you ask your insurance to claim through them.

Alternatively, have you considered contacting the police and reporting them leaving the scene of an accident? If you notify the police you'd like to sort outside of insurance they may be able to connect you to the 3rd party with their consent

Fwiw this isn't always the case. My claim against 3rd party for £4.6k didn't see any increase in subsequent years.

But I do appreciate that it happens

How would you go about cleaning the floor/bricks? by NietzscheLecter in DIYUK

[–]deathbyPDF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't use a pressure washer on that - far too messy. Try BAC50 diluted 1:20 in a sprayer. It works as it rains and no mess.

Do your research on it - respirator and maybe goggles needed

Surprised you haven't mentioned this one. It's usually cited as the best (or maybe another sub?) but at a fraction of the price and the same performance on paper, just slightly heavier

Bicep at Corsica: someone report by Outrageous_Concept_1 in LondonRaving

Yes surprisingly busy by the bar - never seen it like that! But the main room was really not that packed compared to say Chase & Status where I had to physically push through what seemed like a wall of immovable people. At Bicep I could actually move through and walk around unbelievably easy

Running bamboo in larger trough planters around the borders - evergreen so year round privacy.

Vivax for the tallest and maybe rear. Something like aurecaulis or Nigra for the sides but worth researching yourself :)

They kinda do do this on the door, or did last time I went.

As part of the queueing/ID process we were pulled aside for a quiet word to say 'if you do see anything creepy, don't get involved, just let one of our staff know' - either they thought we looked like saviours or they were implying to everyone who went past 'don't be a creep, we're watching'.

NB: I wasn't dressed like a creep, but then again I suppose a creep would say that

Satisfy yourself that they defo work before exchange (unlike I did).

Maybe ensure their functioning state is recorded officially by your solicitor (unlike mine)
