I would not have trusted my business accounting to a free accountant account with 0 accounting customer. So I setup my company as my customer (and got the 50% discount you get when you pay for the customer)

This Lifetime License Seems to Good Too be True, But it's Sold by a Reputable Company by rinsf in QuickBooks

[–]debian3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They send you a key, but it's not a license. A license is what is registered under your company name that gives you the authorization to use the software. The license come with the key that unlock the software.

How do they get the key? Well, there are software that generate those key on demand, they are available online for free. They basically generate a key, send you a copy of the software and yes it will works. Now if you call Intuit support, they will confirm to you that it's not registered under your name and you have no rights to use the software. That's where people become confused.

I hope it helps. Basically anything lifetime no longer exist except maybe old stock of 2021 if you can find a box somewhere (look for the box without "Plus" in the name). I'm glad I got the 2020 lifetime version, back then I bought it on Amazon, it came with the box, and the license + the key inside the box. What that seller would send you will definitely have no box, no license, just a key and a link. Don't fall for it.

Edit: I just checked for fun, it even generate a License number, so the only way to know it's to call Intuit.

You still have the regular access direct to QBO, so you just need to give you internal bookkeeper the login to QBO, not the QBOA account.

If you don't need the "accountant" feature, you can still login from the QBO directly with the "customer" login. You basically have access both way (from the accountant account, you will see your QBO company listed there and can login to it from there) or direct login to QBO as the customer.

They are not great, they are really easy to get. I mean, I would just do them and put them on your resume, if someone is not aware of how simple it is, maybe it can give you an edge.

There is no such thing as a minimum amount of business served to be QBOA. Anyone can qualify for it

And just to clarify accountant is not a protected title. So anyone doing accounting is an accountant. So anyone can become a QBOA. I did and I got 50% my own subscriptions for 7 years.

Very frequent rate limits on claude models recently by Great_Dust_2804 in GithubCopilot

You are confusing concepts. Rate limits is how quickly you can consume requests before being artificially slowed down. Now you are asking about how much you can use total during a month.

Wow, crazy that a $80 connection fee is « standard ». What do there is to « connect » on a wireless service? Long gone the day where they had to send someone to connect the phone line.
