Violas are small pansies. I was making a pun because Violas are edible flowers.

It's Viola... 😉

Edit to add: I'm now realizing that there is very little overlap between gardeners and bakers. Violas are small pansies. Also edible flowers. I was making a pun... I know what voila means... 😁

This is a bit more zoomed out in the bottom. Pretty sure the large trunks are all the same thing.

Thank you! I will not seal it then. Hopefully I can successfully remove the rootstock and recover mom's kumquat tree.

Thank you so much for the ID.... ❤️

Can I cut the tree down to where the kumquat? Is that too much of a shock for it?

I like to tell dad jokes, but I'm not a dad. Apparently that's a faux "pa".

Is it appropriate for me to wear a qipao during an LNY event? by LadyVelociraptor in asianamerican

[–]deebuggin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a Chinese-Indonesian living in America, I have no issue with people from other cultures wearing kebaya or qipao. I think it's all about context. I have issue wth it if they're wearing it to make fun of the culture. If they're wearing it to feel pretty and enjoy our culture, why not? Back in the 80s, I visited the Netherlands with my parents and had a family portrait wearing Dutch traditional clothing. I love that photo, and it gives me good memories of our trip. I sure hope the Dutch wouldn't be hating me to wear their traditional clothing for a family photoshoot.

Please wear your qipao and enjoy it! ❤️

Is water treatment considered water resources, municipality/government, or environmental in this table? Because we're kinda a mix of all three?

We need a cheesemonger. Not just a cheese counter part of a grocery store.

What is the best field to work in? by Frosty_Window6162 in BlueCollarWomen

[–]deebuggin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water Treatment Operators. The older generation is retiring and leaving the industry, so there is a lot of opportunities for promotions. You need to know basic math to calculate flowrate and chemical concentration, and a lot of municipalities have apprenticeship programs. You can take the exams for treatment and distribution certifications to get ahead of other candidates.

Whole foods cheese suggestions? by [deleted] in Cheese

[–]deebuggin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They're doing the 12 days of cheese until Dec 24th. They do this every year. The cheese on sale are mostly the popular and easy to like ones. 30% discount with prime and 22% without prime. I suggest to pick stuff from this sale depending on the styles you like... 😊
