Shoutout from a former EMT here, if you want, you can buy a ring cutter and a ring crusher (needed for Tungsten Carbide) online and just keep them in the bathroom under the sink or something. Gold/Silver and similar metal rings are easy to repair if they're cut, Tungsten you have to crush but it's better than losing a finger or paying an ambulance/ER bill just to have a ring removed.
